Fornicalia Proposition Results:

For whatever reason, it is difficult to locate the Fornicalia midterm propositions results.

In a nutshell, I post now:

  • 19Failed – Changes California law to legalize marijuana for recreational use.
  • 20Passed – Redistricting of congressional districts.
  • 21Failed – Establishes $18 annual vehicle license surcharge to help fund state parks and wildlife programs and grants free admission to all state parks to surcharged vehicles.
  • 22Passed – Prohibits the state from taking funds used for transportation or local government projects and services.
  • 23Failed – Repeals AB 32 until unemployment is below 5.5% for four consecutive quarters.
  • 24Failed – Repeals recent legislation (tax breaks) that would allow businesses to carry back losses, share tax credits, and use a sales-based income calculation to lower taxable income.
  • 25Passed – Changes legislative vote requirement to pass a budget from two-thirds to a simple majority. The two-thirds majority for passing taxes would not change.
  • 26Passed – Increases legislative vote requirement to two-thirds for state levies and charges. Imposes additional requirement for voters to approve local levies and charges with limited exceptions.
  • 27Failed – Repeals state legislature redistricting law

Once again, multiple reasons why the populace of Fornicalia has entirely doomed the state and ensured that job creators, businesses, business owners, higher-end taxpayers, middle and upper middle class homeowners and employees, recent retirees, are fleeing or about to flee the state.

Rules, regulations, taxes, extreme Leftist philosophies do naught but ensure that the hosts flee their surrounding parasites.

P.S.
However, across the nation, 680 Republican positions were acquired in various state legislatures, removing Demorats from those positions.

  1. 23 and 25 were by far the WORST ones. Those two alone will cause the total destruction of this state. I say fine! Let’s see how they turn us into greece! Warp speed ahead to socialism…Word of warning. Socialists/Communists and Marxists all end the same way but we still have the 2nd amendment. No other nation did and fell to those ideologies. We will stand.

  2. Bush: both you and I are somewhat tethered to this state. We both have a Love/Hate relationship with it. You know it and I know it. Much as we both try to dismiss our admiration for the geography itself.

You put it “your way” . . .

    I put it MY way:

The parasites are about to exceed the number of dwindling and fleeing HOSTS.

  3. I talked with my brother-in-law last night. He lives in Southern California, and both he and his wife are out of jobs as of this past September.

I don’t know what they’re going to do!

My brother-in-law, a staunch conservative, is beside himself that California is going under — and at the hands of the voters, too.

  4. Well…
    I’m watching silver closely ’cause
I took a considerable physical position in it just over a year ago. It’s up over 50% in one year.
Think about that and ask yourself… WHY?
And the answer for those liberals reading these words is that not just fornacalia, but THE WHOLE NATION IS SCREWED.
Our leaders MUST inflate the currency to pay off this debt. That means the dollars in our wallets, savings and checking accounts, and retirement accounts will soon be worth considerably less than they are now. For an indication of how bad it might get, study the Weimar Republic experience in Germany post WWI.
Realists have been saying for some time now…
    Be prepared-
    Food.
    Shelter.
    Water.
    Precious metals.
And a way to defend you and your stuff from those who would harm you.
    I think it’s gonna happen… it’s just a question of WHEN.

  5. California has way too many liberal and left-wing voters. I was not surprised at the results.

However, I truly feel horrid for my fellow conservatives who fought hard in California. I wonder what it will take to convince the people that socialism is NOT the answer?

  6. Well BZ, if I was still in California, and had your problem, I would quickly jump in the “foxhole” with you and protect your back.
Have you been over to the Eastern Sierra side? Bishop? It still is white over there, all the way North to Alturas. Anything South of Olancha though, is dog poop in my review.
The Western Side of the Sierras has some real nice places also. The higher elevation towns come to mind.
That is where you are now, and you know dearly all of that area from your patrol days.
I remember back in 1973, they set up a Federal Academy there to train law officers. I taught felony car stops there, as a visiting professional officer.
My cousin was with the County Sheriffs then. Rode with him on some really dangerous calls in the “un-incorporated” area of the City of Modesto. After he retired, he moved to Oregon, does Cold Case Cowboys there now.
I agree that the State of California is in bad financial shape, and Gov Moonbeam has always spent $$ like he has his own printing press.
I can only hope that our own USA Government, less the Obama crowd, can help Calif. from going under.

  7. AOW: that’s correct. The group health insurance plan that will cover me — a group account for retirees for my agency (which is much more money and provides less coverage than does my account now), is null and void once I cross out of Fornicalia. Either I have a state address and lie, or I see if I can find different NEW coverage (good damned luck, if you’re 60+). So that’s what you get for working 35+ years.

Unfortunately, Greybeard, I think so too. I don’t think there’s any other path except inflation. And inflation at this point is an economy-killer. Right back to 1979 Jimmy Carter days of 23% car loans, 12-15% home loans (if you can get one), and extreme energy prices — multiplied if Congress passes some sort of CapNTax. Which is not impossible if Republicans decide they simply want to “go along to get along” once again.

I really don’t think the GOP understands that it is on PROBATION.

  8. Hey, Homes! I like Gort so much more than your last avatar. Gort is no problem -UNLESS- as Klaatu so well explained.

I counsel hope not despair. Frankly, with Governor elect Edmund G. Brown Junior I pray I will be as wrong about drain circling as everyone was in the Ring Trilogy in their predictions except Gandalf.

The “street” couldn’t work up much of a commotion over the Meserle sentence (two years on a shooting ruled an accident), a good sign. Kind of like the tender new leaf on the tree in Gondor. Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums looked like he needs someone else to punch his ATM buttons for him he has such political fatigue.

By the bye: Jerry Brown blazed the way for government to ignore the will of the people when he failed as Attorney General to defend the expressed will of the electorate when Proposition 8 was approved. Remember? I wonder what he expects in terms of respect or cooperation. My guess is that he is not expecting much more than a further enhanced retirement accumulation.

Rats, I couldn’t think of a Star Trek reference to use.

    Thanks!
