Fornicalia’s “Call In Gay” Day

In my state, Fornicalia, it’s “Call In Gay” Day:

‘Day Without a Gay’ is latest protest against California gay marriage ban
4:36 AM, December 10, 2008
Gay-rights activists are encouraging people to “call in gay” to work today to demonstrate how integral gay people are to American society.

“We are here, and we are not second-class citizens, and we deserve the same rights as everyone else,” said Julio Perez, a restaurant manager in Chicago who is planning to take the day off.

Oh please. Just get over it. Proposition 8 passed in Fornicalia. You know who this hurts? Gay business owners, predominantly gay businesses or businesses serving the LGBT community. Plus, you arbitrarily decide not to appear for work? AWOL. Docked pay. Or fired.

The people who are gay and work for my agency? Guess what? They showed up for work.

Me too.

  1. That’s like the Florida University that completely outlawed any Christmas display or message at all in an attempt to wipe it out.

I say: then no Christmas vacation for any of you pricks. Get the fuck back to work and study.

  2. It would be OK if they also had a call in heterosexual day, call in beastiality day, call in masturbation day, call in NAMBLA day, call in poop fetish day, etc.

Then they might see how ridiculous the concept is, but I won’t hold my breath.

  3. I predict no more Christmas time off soon…IF it’s still a national holiday, even. That could go, too.

Obama will say it’s not fair to other religions and, as he’s said already “This is not a Christian nation”…….so….Florida U is ahead of its time.

I’d say what I said was silly except it goes along the lines of huge stores, knowing full well that 85% of Americans identify with Christianity and that those people are that time of year’s BIG BUYERS, calling their Christmas trees HOLIDAY trees as if there IS another holiday with a TREE? Ya, Arbor Day, right?

    But, seriously!…

  4. My question is, if they didn’t turn up, would it have made any difference? Last i checked that myth about homosexuality being quite common is just one of their many fantasies.

  5. Gosh, you guys sound like a bunch of George Wallace types, substitute gay for negro and go back 40 years and thats YOU GUYS.
