  1. Well, now, that is curious. I’m wondering what “news” of dealing with Iran will be released within the next two weeks, the president used the words “the long suffering Iranian people” in a speech a few weeks ago, and in deecee speak those are not casual words.

Al-Assad will always be a puppet, for all I know we will use Syria as a FOB if and/or when anything happens. Or his successor, with the tacit approval of Putin.

      • Trump has just tweeted that German crime is way up! The man doesn’t give a shit about facts or truth.

          • Are German citizens as safe in their own villages today as 10 years ago? Can women walk alone or after dark in safety in areas where they used to years ago? Are villages being forced to have migrant centers against their will? Can a Jew in Germany feel safe wearing a yarmulke or kippah out in public? Are increasing numbers of Germans beginning to feel ‘out of place’ in their own country? Are they being encouraged to modify themselves to be more ‘tolerant’ and ‘welcoming’. Are historic and centuries old (religious) events being changed or cancelled in response to either security concerns or to not ‘offend’ a certain migrant fraction? Are people able to freely express their opinions without fear of being arrested or prosecuted?
There is crime and then there is ‘crime’. And why are the Bundespolizei instructed to not divulge the ethnicities of perpetrators…guess you could call that a clue ’cause as it turns out: “…researchers asked for data that specifically concerned asylum applicants, both successful and unsuccessful, who had arrived in 2015 and 2016. The state police — in keeping with the unspoken taboo — hadn’t published such statistics, but they obliged the research team. It turned out the asylum seekers had reversed the decreasing violent crime trend in Lower Saxony. While such crime went down by 21.9 percent between 2007 and 2014, it was up again by 10.4 percent by the end of 2016. Some 83 percent of the cases were solved — and 92.1 percent of the increase was attributable to the newcomers…” More at the link Germany Must Come to Terms With Refugee Crime https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-06-12/italy-and-germany-stop-the-sniping-for-once
Mutti Merkel herself acknowledged the existence of no go zones. Just what one has in a law abiding low crime society, n’est-ce pas?

  2. Well things that Trump says sure as heck aren’t always fact. It started with the biggest attendance at his inauguration…. or perhaps it was the size of his hands!

5.76 million crimes were reported in 2017 in Germany — a drop of 5 percent from 2016 and the lowest number since 1992. Given the increases in Germany’s population, This means that Germany’s reported crime rate was at the lowest it had been for three decades.

Perhaps an increasing number of Germans are beginning to feel out of place in their country but the statistics show that Germany’s reported crime rate is at the lowest it has been for decades.

just as the photos show that the crowds were way lower at Trump’s inauguration than they were at Obama’s first inauguration. Why Trump feels he needs to lie about this things is beyond me. He won the electoral college, he is president. Why he needs to lie about the size of the crowd, the fact that he would have won the popular vote had it not been for all those illegal vote etc etc etc!

    • Overall crime may have declined in 2017 and violent crime by 2.4 percent, to 188,946 cases, of which 137,058 involved serious bodily injury.
However it is also true that:
Murders increased by 3.2 percent, to 785 cases.
Drug offenses rose 9.2 percent, to 330,580 cases.
Child pornography cases rose 14.5 percent, to 6,512 cases

Already in 2015 and 201 violent crime rose by about 10 percent. It attributed more than 90 percent of that to young male refugees. Thus even though in 2017 it may have declined slightly, there was already a significant increase. Germany had become a less safe country.
As far as Trump and facts, name one president who has never stated untruths, half truths (you can keep your doctor…) lies and mistakes. I remember when he was pummeled for saying ‘no go’ areas existed. How he was excoriated and by golly turns out he was right. It just was not politically correct to state this.
It would be fantastic if our presidents walked on water and were infallible in word and deed. They are not. However criticism ought to be even handed, ie., a democrat president should be raked over the coals with the same fervor accorded a republican one. This does not seem to happen.
Why anyone cares what he said about crowd size is a mystery to me. No one fixates on the obama lie about keeping your doctor which has a greater impact on the average citizen then does a tweet about crime in Germany.
And what the heck hand size has to do with the price of tea in China is another mystery to me.
