Homo Cowboys vs. Reality

If you’d been reading actual newspapers today instead of acquiring your news from blogs or the internet, you’d have thought the new movie “Brokeback Mountain” was the center from which the sun, moon and stars revolved.

Okay, so Iraq is holding elections in its country and ours as well. That clearly should be secondary to a movie featuring homo cowboys grabbing dicks in the hay.

You know what? I’m sorry, but here’s where I simply draw the line. Maybe 6 to 7% of our nation is homosexual — male and female. That’s nice for you. Congratulations. You have jobs. You pay taxes. You arrange flowers. Some males have prominent lisps. Some dykes wear flannel, guts overlapping your blue jeans, crop cuts, mullets and biker wallets. Fine. Become carpetmunchers. Or sodomists. But I simply don’t want to see that s!!t on the big screen. Give me a label. I’m a racist (because a certain percentile of homosexuals are ____, _____, or _____.). I’m a homophobe because I don’t actively promote the homosexual lifestyle or endorse mens’ penises penetrating other mens’ sphincters.

Okay, I’m all that and more. BABAGOI.

But I’m STILL NOT spending any money to see your stupid Ang Lee movie.

Hello? Did you copy that? MONEY.

Oh yeah. You’re motivated by money. Let’s just see how well this stupid perversion of the standard western does when it gets thrown into the mix in most Century Theatres, Regal Theatres, or any of the other national chains. Outside of Bunghole City, San Francisco.

Oh gosh, that would be judgmental, wouldn’t it?

Meanwhile, Back At The Ranch:

Everything we’ve said would come to fruition has: Iraq has held free elections. From the Associated Press news:

Iraqis voted Thursday in one of the largest and freest elections in the Arab world, with strong turnout reported in Sunni areas and even a shortage of ballots in some precincts. Several explosions rocked Baghdad throughout the day, but the level of violence was low.

The heavy participation in the parliamentary voting by the Sunnis, who had shunned balloting last January, bolstered U.S. hopes of calming the insurgency enough to begin withdrawing its troops next year.

Hello? Dems and DEMs: Are You Listening?

No, you’re not. Nancy Pelosi isn’t listening. John Murtha, that incontinent wonk, isn’t listening. Howard Dean isn’t listening. John Kerry isn’t listening. Teddy Kennedy doesn’t have the capacity to listen unless it involves an aged bourbon. Barbara Boxer isn’t listening. Hillary Clinton is listening a little but missing the mark (because she’s too Centrist — can you imagine?), Joe Biden isn’t listening. Harry Reid is barely above Stegosaurus level — you know, his brain makes his front limbs work and another ganglion of nerves barely make his back legs function.

We’re setting world records in Iraq.

And at home the media is writing about a movie involving cornholing cowboys.

Hey Blo Zep: I am up now and can type a bit before I crash back into bed. I see that you have been on fire and said some incindiary stuff, all the while increasing your blog traffic and letting the creative juices flow. Good for you!!!

About this post; the gratuitous flaunting of the lifestyle choices in that movie combined with the near silence of the MSM has obviously pissed you off! And rightly so, I too get annoyed when Sarah Jessica Whoeverthehell gets more press than the spread of democracy and the changing of a regime. Oh well, you named them the DEMS for a reason! I agree that people (consenting ADULTS) should be able to do what they wish. HOWEVER I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THE COMMUNISTIC AND SECULARIST OVERTURES OF THESE MOONBAT SO CALLED “PROGRESSIVES!” THESE ARE the same people who think a kid can cuss out his teacher because it is his first Amendment right, yet if someone says they don’t think gays should be considered a Constitutionally protected minority they are labelled a homophobe!?!!! NEWSFLASH! Tolerance means tolerance not acceptance. Tolerance allows us all to coexisit, but I dare not accept the choices of my neighbors if I deem such choices to be harmful to myself. See what I mean? The problem with these people is that they are shoving this drivel down our throats in attempts to normalize specific BEHAVIORS. I will deal with this is another post and (if you don’t mind) would like to reference this article in the post.

BTW: Good luck on your radio spot.Since I live in the Valley, I wonder if I could get your station, cuz that would be cool! YOur writing and commentary is among the best in the conservative blogosphere and I am happy that you are getting a lot of traffic. Take Care and Have a good day:)

  2. Ya know, maybe I should have toned things down a bit, and maybe I shouldn’t have sat down in front of the keyboard while still roasting — and yeah, it’s true, what two consenting adults do behind closed doors that doesn’t involve oil and small squirrels and doesn’t violate the Fornicalia Lubricant Code isn’t much of my concern.

But I get so DAMNABLY TIRED of having this garbage pushed down my gullet under the guise and labeling of “entertainment” — not only for myself but for kids. And no, I don’t have to accept it. I may have to “tolerate” but, as you write, there is a large canyon between the two.

Thank you most kindly for the kudos and, yes, I am starting to get more visitors and THAT is really cool!

I’m off on vacation next week, my 85-year-old Dad is having his surgery week after that, so my postings likely will be kinda sporadic. But I’m not going away.

  3. Mahndisa, they call themselves “progressive” because they like the sound of it; as though they’re for progress or something.

At least progressives had a direction they wanted to move the country, y’know? A goal. This bunch of Democrats’ only agenda appears to be not to have an agenda.

BZ, I know how you feel. My ex thinks there’s nothing at all wrong with allowing my eight-year-old daughter to watch Will and Grace. That show in NOT for kids and glamorizes some really poor behavior. Pick a sitcom, none of them are family entertainment anymore. I don’t even watch TV anymore, except for the odd Smallville episode, or whatever Red is watching.

Good luck with the radio deal!

  4. A Homophobe/Racist?? YOU??

    Surely not….

This movie, Brokedick Mounting, is going to bring out ALL the REAL conservatives, and have them speaking their minds…

I have no problem with what 2 consenting adults do IN PRIVATE, but don’t push it on ME and try to tell me it’s *normal*…

Great post BloZep, stand by for incoming rounds, I feel you’ll be getting a few, and NEVER tone down the rhetoric…

    Fire at Will, and Grace….

  5. Yah, I have absolutely no desire to see this movie. Seeing Heath Ledger attracted to another guy is a little too much for me. And what people do in the privacy of their own homes is their own business but like you said don’t shove it down my throat. But the nice thing about America is we have the choice not to see it and thereby communicate a message.

  6. Robo: I don’t have kids and many days I’m glad that’s so — I’d have to eventually thrust them into this corruptible world. The chaos and pus of this culure leaks into the living room via the TV, cable, satellite, games, even the damned schools — how does one cope with explaining all this behavior away?

And yes, you’re right, it’s not just Will & Grace. I don’t even like watching what one would call “normal” TV anymore. Instead, I find I primarily watch Discovery, History Channel, The Learning Channel, Discovery Times, National Geographic, A&E, Military Channel, Speed Channel, HGTV, Fox News and the like — sometimes CSPAN, MSNBC, the occasion limited glossover on CNN.

Texas Fred: yeah, I’ll be standing by as some will attempt to walk some rounds into my digital ship. But I’m a Big Boy — literally — so I’d best “build a bridge” myself.

The Brokedick Mounting movie (great name, TF!!) is merely indicative of the fact that Hollywood is bleeding money and butts in seats, and they don’t understand why. Hell, that’s worth an entire post all by itself.

  7. Brilliant post!! HA!!!! I love your description of the cowboy movie!! And how you brought it together with what is really important in America.

What can i say? you said it for me.

  8. Blo,
Just read your comment to Mahn.
yes, I agree about tolerance, however i do think it isn’t about how it effects us, but about how it is effecting our nation, because it WILL trickle down and effect us as well. We should be concerned about their ‘definition’ of tolerance.
It is ‘You accept and agree with my lifestyle, or you will be considered a homophobe, an out of sync racist’.
AND, just to show you you are out of step we are going to make shows like Will and Grace, and movies like ‘brokemeback poking a cowboy on a mountain’, to influence people with no brain..(There are 11 million of them apparently in the U.S.).
Then, after brainwashing people, we will lobby congress, then try to get our lifestyle legalized somehow.. Then it will effect the meaning of marriage, and will hike up YOUR insurance costs in the long run.
Then, because it is our right as marriage partners, we will be able to adopt all these kiddos and teach them gay tolerance. All the while the public schools start handing out ‘my friend has 2 daddy’ books. Then in high school your child gets to learn how to grease a small rodent and stick it up someones’ butt, instead of the paleolithic way of putting condoms on a bananna.
They will learn how loose one’s hind end hole can get after so much fun, and watch heartwarming shows that have surgical bun-hole tightening, for those who can’t afford it.
Your child will really learn what being gay is all about and how different it is from being straight, just so they will have tolerance and acceptance of others.
This is a ridiculous scenario, but as robosquirrel said about his x-wife letting his kids watch will and grace, we are a society that will be reaping the consequences of embracing this behavior.

  9. BWH, I was wondering what you thought about one of the cowboys wearing a white hat.. But, after looking at the picture, i think his hat was more off-white. I am thankful for that, because I don’t want the BWH disgraced in such a way!! :).

  10. Rebecca: all those things are spot on. And this is just ONE issue with child rearing these days. There are so many other caustic and corrupting forces engaged in stealing your child’s ideology and philosophy toward a more “Euro” way of thinking — and gosh, we can see how wonderfully that’s working out, can’t we?
