“Mom and Dad” as well as “husband and wife” have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.
“We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California,” said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.
“With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers.”
“Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles,” said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. “This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.
Further, homecoming kings now can be either male or female – as can homecoming queens, and students, whether male or female, must be allowed to use the restroom and locker room corresponding to the sex with which they choose to identify.

People need to read all 33 pages of this bill and show me where it says anything about Mom & Dad or Husband & Wife. I have read all 33 pages and I don’t see what the problem is but then I don’t have kids.

The interpretation, I believe, is that one is subject to suit if one does not treat the LGBT community on the same footing as one would a “traditional” family. The bill doesn’t strictly say that, yes. It is what will come when one does the logical extension. It is more “norming” of that which should not be normed. The photos I’ve seen recently of the Folsom shindig in SF — that is NOT the norm for this nation nor do I WANT it to be the norm. There are other bills involved, also.

Well, if they don’t teach it, how can you forget it? That seems to be the way most of the indoctrination is going… don’t teach the things that will actually help you understand the world, but all the wonderful ‘touchie feelie’ stuff that makes teachers feel good. My disdain for the academic system expands continually, and the most important things I have learned have not been in a classroom, by and large.
AJ: these days, I would have to readily concur.
Back when I was in public school things were much less complicated; I actually learned to read well, write well, draw, paint, run, do math, type, become drawn into history.

Terrible if it’s true. But, like Ranando, I’m skeptical and still waiting for something out of the mainstream, as I don’t trust everything put out by World Net Daily.

Arnold has really been a disappointment. I was hoping you guys would’ve gotten better than this.

The People’s Republic of California just added another nail in the coffin IMO.
California is a great place to visit, but living here is like being on the gallows, You know the rope will be pulled tight, you just don’t know when.
