  1. My wife and I were on an early horse drawn coach ride on Mackinaw Island, Michigan. A passenger in front of us received a cell phone call, and became very agitated. Obviously something was very wrong. I asked him if there was something I could help him with – his response was no, he had a real problem being where he was. He was in charge of the news at a large TV Station in Texas – a very long way away.
The Island does not have any auto traffic, only horse drawn transportation is available, and we were at the farthest point of the ride. He continued on his phone, and told others what was happening. He was speaking to a secretary at the TV station he worked at in Texas, who was relaying news to him in real time. It was all about the attack on the United States; it was 9/11/01. He wanted a quick way to return to Texas, but the options are very limited, as the Island is also remote. Others on the ride also wanted to hear what he was relaying, and got the girl in charge to quit speaking on her PA so only he could be heard. The balance of the ride was quite sober.

We have never returned for our annual Island visit.

  2. May the Lord bless those that were killed that day in 2001. That being said, the only good muslim is a dead one! We need to rid the USA of all these bastards.

      • Minuteman can speak for himself. But I’ll ask you this simple question: what would be the attitude towards, say, for example, the Catholic church — which has a sufficient amount of problems — if all the killings and death had been attributed to IT instead of Islam? How many Catholic churches would NOT be in smoking rubble all around the planet? You’d best open up YOUR eyes Venito because apparently you don’t live in Hamtramck or Dearborn or Marseilles or Chatelet or Bobigny or places too numerous to mention. Islam cannot live with itself. What makes you think it can live with others?

In 2004, Bernard Lewis the preeminent scholar of Islam famously told the German newspaper Die Welt,“Europe will be Islamic by the end of the century,” if not sooner.

He did not say that Muslims will be the majority population in what is still recognizably Europe. No, Professor Lewis said “Europe will be Islamic.”

We are not talking about Muslims here. We are talking about Islam. Lots of individual Muslims desire peaceful coexistence, even assimilation. But Islam’s aim is to prevail. And to rule.

Try reading the Koran. Try reading the Haddith. Two excellent books for you:

        1. THE STRONG HORSE, by Lee Smith
        2. THE CLOSED CIRCLE by David Pryce Jones

          • Venito, you a muslim? Do you and yours abide and believe in the Koran and Haddith? Then I’m talking about you and any like you. Another book to read, “The Quranic Concept of War” by Brig S K Malik who is a Paki general. Enough said.

            • You are hoping “the Lord” will bless the 3,000 that were killed that day and are also hoping for the death of approximately one in four of every person on earth.

              My case rests.
