NFC Championship: Green Bay & Seattle – Seattle wins 28 to 22

NFL: NFC Championship-Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks

Packers right guard T.J. Lang wonders what the hell happened, post-game.

End of the first quarter: Green Bay Packers 13, Seattle Seahawks 0.

Five turnovers in the game already.

It’s Seattle and of course it’s raining.

At the half: 16 to 0, Packers.

GB Stats First HalfGreen Bay stats for the first half.

Now, in the 3rd, GB 16 and Seattle 7, from a crazy play faking a field goal.  GB bit.

Aaron Rodgers twists his right ankle.  Seattle fans getting back in the game.

End of the 3rd quarter.  Green Bay’s running back Eddie Lacey still looking great.

Mason Crosby hits a 48-yard field goal.  Its now Green Bay 19, Seattle 7.

19 to 14, Seattle picks up a Wilson running TD, damned near unseen by GB defense.

Seattle scores a TD and just got the extra two points.  Seattle 22, Green Bay 19.

A field goal will only tie it for Green Bay.

Game is tied 22 – 22.  Seattle has won the toss in overtime.

Seattle wins 28 to 22, by a touchdown.  Seattle is going to the Super Bowl.

And what the hell was up with Coach McCarthy not going for it on fourth and short, three times, for field goals, instead of trusting his team in the first half?

Frankly, Seattle deserves it, Green Bay does not.

  1. I think the Hawks got complacent heading into the game. Had to pull it out in the end, and they are not accustomed to coming from far behind. Shows the debth of the team and the quality of the players.

    • Don’t what the hell happened to the Pack in the second half. They just appeared to lose it mentally. Don’t know if the home field crowd got to them or what. I would much rather have seen the Packers win than the Seahawks but —

  2. It really did not matter. Why?
Whoever wins would have to play the New England Patriots, and beating them this year is damn near impossible.

    • The Seahawks beat my Packers, so I hope the Seahawks get plastered by the Patriots.

Not that I’m bitter or revengeful or anything. . .
