the time i spend at the local humane society is the high point of my week and the checks i write to them are the only ones that i look forward to writing.
Good for you. All three dogs in the BZ household are rescue/shelter dogs.

my cats would be shelter rescues except they just showed up in the backyard, bypassing the humane society.
I have some of those also, outside, at the house in the mountains and my wife’s house in the flats. I feed them and pet them when I can, try to keep them warm when I can.
