Obama’s First Appointment

Here comes Mr Obama’s first appointment opportunity for SCOTUS:

WASHINGTON (AP) – Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had surgery Thursday for pancreatic cancer, raising the possibility that one of the ideologically divided court’s leading liberals—and its only woman—might have to curtail her work or even step down before she had planned.

This was the nightmare situation I envisioned during the presidential campaign, and it is staring back at us earlier than predicted. And this is the precise reason I feared a Leftist president, House and Senate.
I can hear all the Leftist and Socialist lawyers, jurists and law professors dialing up the White House (1-800-SCRU-RUTH) even as I write this. And poor Bader Ginsburg is still warm.

  1. well, at least he can’t get anyone much more liberal than Ginsberg, right?. Average is right.

    Sorry about your mom-in-law…

    xx

  2. I intended to say the same thing as Average American. At least she’s liberal… extremely liberal!

I’m sorry for anyone having to fight such a terrible disease. I lost a mother, step-mother, mother-in-law to cancer, and have a sister-in-law in the hospital with it as I write this. I can’t believe they haven’t found a cure by now.

  3. I am sorry to see anyone die in that manner. That being said, I agree that at least he is not changing the balance of the court. As evil as the left is though, I fear a conservative justice or two could wind up being assassinated in order to change the balance.

  4. I’m sad that she has this horrible disease. Having heard her speak at my synagogue she’s a lot tougher than one might think. She’s a strong lady.

  5. “Well we got what America voted for…the idiots!”

Well not really. Only 52% of those that voted voted for the tool. Thats 52% of some 57% of the eligible voters so only about 28% actually voted for this pres.He may be the pres of this country but he is not MY president

I am saddened that she has cancer, just like when Ted Kennedy was diagnosed, I cried. I cried because despite their bullshit policies and interpretations of the law, they are human just like us. Now to address the substance at hand, I have no idea who Obama will choose to replace her,but whoever it is will be utterly terrifying.

You guys mentioned this during the campaign trail and Richard from Three Score also mentioned it. Now here we are…If he really cares about bipartisanship, he will choose Janice Rogers Brown.

  7. Why is everyone going on about how SAD they are?? They operated on her, they may have gotten it, maybe not, but don’t you this the hysterics oughta be saved until the ugly old LIBERAL bat is pronounced to be dying??

  8. It seems the pile is getting higher as the days go by. it is one bad story after another with Obama.. I forgot, for a moment about Supreme Court appointments.

I Was too busy thinking about the Socialist rule in congress now: the spendulus bill, the fairness doctrine and then all the crooks and tax cheats Obama’s appointing, not to mention the ‘lay down’ republicans who just love Obama.

How could I forget the nightmare looming that we will now have new far-left judges he will appoint to ‘seal the socialist deal’.
