My recent posts haven’t been getting much activity.
I freely admit: many of my posts are general or ethereal in nature and don’t deal with one very specific topic, as do many other successful blogs.
As I wrote some years ago, I still post for myself and, essentially, no one else. My writing is, mostly, personally cathartic and expunging. That anyone else enjoys my site is quite the “icing on the cake.” That any of you are of a like mind — God bless you.
That anyone has followed me — I find astounding. Because I can be clear and daft and eccentric and understood and obfuscated.
What the GOP doesn’t understand is this:
It is fluctuous. And the various TEA Parties have made it so.
And the same with me: I refuse to write checks to the RNC or any general form of the GOP.
Instead, I target my cash at specific candidates of my choosing.
It is getting to this point:
No matter the label, if you aren’t a Conservative, you won’t win.
Our budget screams this.
The GOP is “on probation.”

I read your page BZ because it’s the only time my thesaurus gets a work out!
That guy in the video Steve Buyer (R) from Indiana did real good. And it’s a damn shame more didn’t stand like that for the first 2 years of Obama… Matter of fact, the last 4 yrs of Bush would have been a good time to stand too.
BZ & BW~ The time is definitely NOW for standing. And absolutely, GOP is on probation – maybe we should call it parole.
BZ~ I’ve just ‘discovered’ your site recently; had seen you around b4 that, but somehow hadn’t made a connection. Count me in as ‘hooked’ now. 😉
I know exactly what you mean that writing is ‘personally cathartic.’ Some of my pieces are just like that ; as are any of these .
Keep up the good work here, friend – even if it’s just for you!
I love that guy in the video…we need 300 of him on Capital Hill!
I’m with Susannah and Bushwack, though I’ve been around a lot longer than she has here 🙂
Sorry I haven’t visited more; you do the same xxx
Seeing this video makes me proud to say I am from Indiana!! One of the few states that is not in the red financially. A state that has held on through this recession even after suffering some of the worst unemployment in the country (Elkhart County).
Thank God for the personal courage of Rep. Buyer! We need more conservative representatives to do the same!
I refuse to write checks to the RNC or any general form of the GOP.
Instead, I target my cash at specific candidates of my choosing.
I do exactly the same!
Now, if only I could get all my conservative friends to do the same. So many of these friends are blind followers of the GOP!
BZ, I follow and read but do not always have alot of time to comment or someone has already made the same points as today, being both you and Always on Watch.
Keep up the great work!
Bush: I’ll take that as a compliment!
Susannah: and thanks for reading! Yes, parole might also work. . .
Z: 300 would be a nice start. . .
Firecap5: thanks for visiting and thanks for taking the time to comment! Good for Indiana; my state, Fornicalia, is about to implode.
AOW: “targeting” cash is apparently working; TEA Parties around the nation now allegedly take in more money than the RNC.
Christopher: thank you for the kind words indeed!

Buyer did good… And yes, they are ALL on probation! 2012 is the time to finish the job!
I’m proud to say Buyer is a HOOSIER!!! Sadly, he decided not to run again this year so he’s not returning to help us along. I heard on the radio (Hannity) that he said he is glad he will no longer have to deal with this political nonsense.
Know that I don’t always comment, but when I do get a spare minute or two yours is ALWAYS on the must read list!
Today, before I head out to the doctor visits, I have the pleasure of catching up the ones I haven’t been able to delve into in depth before.
Mr. Z – Posting what is important to you is the meaning of blogging. Page hits, readership, and the rest are not what blogging is about.
From that we each post what is our interest, and those interested in reading can find it and read it. I do not post on current events, when I have any energy to post at all these days. When I needed to understand what terrorism is, not how we viewed it but what the activity actually is in the human condition, I took well over a year to step through sources, views, and to dig back into history until it came into perspective… and that perspective saw little in common with what we do about terrorism. Similarly I did so with the related issue of organized crime and its relationship to terrorism and politics. Now I look back on the tougher subject of just what is our duty to ourselves as man and citizen, which has nothing to do with what the State does nor what we should do with Moral theology.
A duty to understand those things, realize who and what we are is, to me, far more important for the future than politics. Yes we must get our fiscal house in order and put it on a very firm and limited bedrock that will lose much of what was built in the 20th century. That is our responsibility to do so our children are not born into poverty and destitute of freedom and liberty. For the State cannot subsume all, be all, and do all without turning all citizens into subjects and then slaves. That is obvious. Why it is obvious is what I am looking into, and that perspective is necessary to preserved so it can be found by others. That is why I started blogging and it is personal to me… and has not led me astray at any point along the way. I don’t blog for others in the now, but others in the future. I hope that times are never despereate enough that people need to find my works and that they will discover the same answers for themselves. But I cannot predict the future and if someone needs the reasons why being civilized is important, then they will stumble across my works as the concepts behind them are unique. Just as yours are unique to you, and just as valuable.
Hi Blo . . .
Contrary to your rare negativity there is at least a few of us dimwit conservatives that not only read your blogging efforts but enjoy them as well. Don’t beat yourself up because you write for yourself and readers are no more that an extra and unnecessary reward.
That being said, I’m not sure that the GOP is on probation any more. The deadbeat entrenched old GOP has proven not to have a collective backbone nor one brain between them all. These guys have blown it big time.
Reasonable Conservatives who have a huge dose of common sense are the way to go – and America’s last opportunity to return our nation to something our Founding Fathers could be proud of.
It is time the GOP was firmly divided with a Conservative Side and a side with a bunch of old worn out RINOs that want the graft, corruption, and same old-same old that is their habit. Let’s weed them out and replace them with the growing number of younger and principled Conservative Republicans.
Oh damn. My soap box collapsed again. That’s a sure signal that it’s time to stop repeating my drivel.
Stay cool.
Vote smart.
