I awakened one morning and found some things amiss. . .
______________________________________
I found my politicians no longer supported my homeland;
I found my news outlets no longer supported my homeland;
I found that those who espoused their devotion to my soverign soil didn’t really place their support there, despite their written leanings;
I found my enemy more clearly delineated than ever; at the same time I found my country’s ability to glean this enemy more muddled than ever;
I found the flag of my country was minimized, put aside and, on the other hand, its burning placed above other more pressing issues;
I found the maximization of Islam throughout my country, at the sacrifice of the diminization of Christianity;
I found the sacred male-and-female-in-a-marriage vow minimized and diminished, governmentally and societally to the point where persons would wonder: “what is the benefit?”
I have found other blogs displaying negative and unproven events as though they were fact though they are NOT;
I have found little boys discriminated against;
I have rooted out the feminization of our society to the detriment of our future;
I am a white male.
Get over it: I will not be dying in the next ten years.
As opposed to my brethren, I do not carry any amount of overeducated white male guilt.
One reaps what one sows.

You know….the photo you used faked me out. That’s because the other day I posted regarding the new Superman movie intentionally choosing to leave out “…and the American Way” from the slogan about “Truth, Justice…”
Living in Los Angeles, sometimes I feel so detached from my fellow Americans out here in values and ideology. It’s just difficult to relate to people, politically. It’s like living amongst aliens. And I’m not talking about the illegal variety.
I remember, dimly, an interview that was done with Joe Siegel on Superman… his first incarnation was a bald-headed villain, but he and Schuster remade the concept…
He said that looking back on it they drew from their experiences, saw mighty and impersonal Nations arising and only one nation that took in the downtrodden. Further, he said, they had probably incorporated much of their Jewish roots in the Moses story into their new hero… but gave him the sort of office job where Jews were welcome in this Nation. He was not super because he was a strong alien from another world… we was Superman because the basis of his strength and will was being in a land that accepted him as outcast to use his talents for everyone.
This movie does not pay homage to that nor to the George Reeves incarnation that put the mighty tagline onto him.
Superman is *not* an immigrant to Planet Earth, although his parents sent him forth to here so he could have possibilities beyond their ken. He IS an American and uses his powers as best as he is able to uphold all that it means to *be* an American. He *does* want to protect the world… but only so that *everyone* has the chance at the possibilities he has had. To freely express his talents. To freely use them for the good of All. And to take only such credit as is necessary and then leave people to deal with their world, but perhaps a bit better off than it was.
Strangely enough, we NOW need him in the realm where he can do most good.
Clark Kent, return to us, we NEED you more than ever.
B.Z. The company you keep is way out of my inteligence league, Between WS and AJ, anything I could add would pale in comparison.
However I would like to discuss something with you when you get time drop me an email
Folks: Sorry for the whining. I had a momentary lapse and let it overtake me. But sometimes I swear, I really DO wonder where my country has gone and why, in the morning, little appears to make sense.
Wordsmith: that’s precisely it: I feel as though I am occasionally surrounded by alien beings and I read their rantings and watch their images on my television.
AJ: You are right. I wonder just what WAS the motivating factor in releasing this movie now — and have you read the various reviews CONDEMNING the movie as merely another WASP white boy continuing to be promulgated in a racist fashion?
Disgusting.

Mr. Z – Unlike others I do not charge a person’s intent… but the action of those attempting to segregate social outlook based upon the color of one’s skin is, yes, racist.
Those not taking care to describe what is wrong with the individual, but, instead, impugning an outlook based on racial perspective is one trying to define things in racist terms.
Strange how the Left once wanted to break down the racial barriers is now working very hard to re-erect racial barriers. And thus become the thing they rallied against.
When energy is available I shall see the film, but have deeply lowered expectations of it.
I think I would prefer a film about Clark Kent, instead, and his needing to find a way to be an ethical reporter in the modern world and *not* use his powers to advance his outlook at the workplace. THAT would be entertaining… to have all those mighty powers and then weigh their ethical use so as to *not* exploit them unfairly to mere personal gain.
But, then, I have a weird idea of entertainment.
