Our Federal Government: Abject Breakers Of Their Own Laws!

The federal government has decided that it can break its own laws at will. Also, it has decided that it will not simply break its own laws “behind the scenes” and at least attempt to cloak its moves. Oh no. Its total arrogance is such that it deigns to do so in the brightest light of day:

The assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, John Morton, has said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities. Mr Morton, his Eminence, has regally declared that Arizona’s law is “not good government.”

Then, by extension sir, the federal law itself is “not good government”? Because that, sir, is precisely upon which the Arizona law is predicated — mandated, for its own survival, because the federal government is affording Arizona little in terms of protection guaranteed by the US Constitution. And, unlike AG Holder and DHS Secretary Napolitano, you may actually read Arizona’s bill here.

These people in your federal government are, you must clearly conclude, willing to place pedantic personal philosophy far above the security of the nation in which you live.

Their incredible — and dangerous — ignorance doesn’t stop there.

WSB TV in Atlanta conducted investigations into those crossing the Mexican/US border illegally and pulled the curtains aside: it’s not just Mexicans entering illegally, its those from terrorist nations who wish to kill us. Muslim prayer rugs are found on American ranches bordering Mexico. Members of Hezbollah have crossed our southwest borders.

A publication from the US government itself, entitled “A Line in the Sand: Confronting the Threat at the Southwest Border” confirms that military jackets have been found on the border with patches that read: “Martyr, way to eternal life” and airplanes crashing into the Twin Towers.

The report also indicates that Middle Eastern terrorists travel to South America, to the tri-border region, learn to speak Spanish, cross into Mexico and blend into other illegals heading north to the United States.

Are you so adept, Mr Holder, Mr Morton, Mr Obaka, that you can clearly and readily discern swarthy Middle Eastern individuals speaking Spanish from Mexican nationals?

The report indicates that a major concern is with Mexican drug cartels assisting ME terror subjects to smuggle weapons and equipment north into the United States.

Part II of the WSB-Atlanta TV investigation reveals that people from Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, they’ve all been caught trying to sneak across the border — all 2,000 miles of it. In some places there are only thick metal posts and cross beams — only enough to stop some vehicles. In other places the fence consists of wooden stakes and horizontal wire fencing — and that’s been entirely trampled. A four-year-old could walk across the border unimpeded.

Twenty per-cent of those caught crossing the border have criminal backgrounds. Every year to date, hundreds caught crossing are from terrorist nations. 23 Somalis — with ties to al Qaeda — were recently released from a Mexican prison, their goal being to cross the border into the US.

Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Yemen — people from all these terrorist sponsoring/hiding/enabling countries have been caught.

The US government no longer releases the “Captured OTM (Other Than Mexican)” list. The list reveals that, nine full years after 9/11, our borders remain open and are a major threat to Americans and our national security. Your government wants that list to remain a secret. Your government wants you to remain ignorant of the threat — all for philosophic and not realistic reasons.

What’s happening at the US/Mexican border — or more factually, what isn’t happening — doesn’t just affect Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Fornicalia. It affects the entire nation.

List: people detained, OTMs, in ICE custody, 4-15-10.

List 2, same.

List 3, same.

List 4, same.

OTMs by citizenship, FY 2007 to 2009.

List 2, same, continued.

List 3, same, final.

So you see, ladies and gentlemen, this isn’t just about Free Mexican Cheese or racism towards little brown people. It’s about securing our borders, about our nation determining who enters and who doesn’t and, moreover, knowing the nature and mindset of those who enter — knowing where they are, what they do, and if they simply want to eat our cheese for free or kill us.

This, my dearest readers, is why we must control our borders. Not just for our economy, not just for our sovereignty, but for our very survival.

Which is why, I submit, the current federal administration is not simply ignorant, arrogant, divisive, divorced from reality, defeatist and elitist — but they are damned dangerous as well.

  1. SBG: as I write, I would concur. And as to the three branches, I wouldn’t disagree with that either. That one issue is much broader than this one post topic! Welcome aboard, thanks for visiting and thanks for taking the time to comment!

  2. Any case against a government must be one of long standing, as that is the nature of what civil societies must do when a long series of abuses pile up. We know that sort of argument, and that case can now be constructed not only via the general freedoms and liberty being neglected, but that of our States. As we have a constitution that clearly states equal protection of all laws for all the States, Article IV, Section 4 is invoked. When not heard or neglected, any State put at danger by federal action or inaction, or in times of Danger that will not admit delay then may go to Article I, Section 10, paragraph iii and reclaim the necessary rights of self-defense.

Those are not pretty things to do.

The constitution is not a suicide pact amongst the States and people to cede all rights to the federal government, but to get equal application of the law in all instances. The federal government cannot say that it will neglect any State for the laws passed for All in this Union. When the federal government will not do its job, it may be held accountable. That might get you a Convention. It might also get you the just removal of the current government by the States… as equality under the law is no longer being provided.

  3. The excellent points in your blog don’t release this administration from any guilt … but we sure didn’t see governmental agencies betraying our federal laws during any other presidency.
To have a pres who ENCOURAGES dissing State’s laws is troubling at best. To have an AJ and DHS Director who don’t read the laws is almost worse…….
But, of course, I believe they did read the laws but can’t admit they did because if they did any thinking journalist would ask “Then which part do YOU find racist, and doesn’t it look like the AZ law is easier on illegals than the Fed law is?”(which it is)

But, by allowing Sanctuary Cities, we headed down the wrong street years ago……….and BROTHER, as we paying for it.
The hypocrisy of MX to suggest WE are wrong is laughable when one considers how hard THEY are to illegals, especially those coming up thru Guatemala!

    COPY THAT, AJ!

Z: there you go, with that pesky phrase “thinking journalist.” Name some for me. I can’t think of many.

  5. Great post. When the illegals and the Obama administration tell the truth, the media fails to mention it.

The truth is the movers and shakers behind the illegal criminal invaders want “their land” back and they don’t care what happens in the process. I’m not sure the Obama administration cares either. After all Obama said “we are NOT a nation of borders”.

  6. This appears to be the case. It is the duty of the Executive Branch to enforce the laws of the nation. I do vaguely recall something from my distant past when a President, don’t recall which one was commenting on a recent decision of the SCOTUS that he didn’t like and basically said—“they have ruled now let them enforce it”! Although I don’t agree, this thing of not enforcing laws is nothing new in American history. But you are right, many on Capital Hill have tossed the Constitution aside and I suspect most progressives have little use for that document and see it as an obstacle in their search for Utopia!

  7. Ron –

I believe that was Governor Wallace, in regards to desegregation rules. At least in its most recent form.

Andrew Jackson was also supposed to have said it when the Supreme Court ruled against his decision to relocated the Cherokee Indians.
