Our Freedoms

We live in a stunningly-blessed country.
But in my opinion a number of us need to be reminded of our freedoms and their reason for existence.

I write this for my 4th of July post, predicated upon the remarkable ignorance of the Left and the Demorats when it comes to our freedoms and how hard-fought they are — as if this country simply sprung up one day out of some unknown beneficent well.

As if thousands and thousands of our soldiers weren’t killed in two World Wars. Not simply to protect our freedom, but world freedom as well.

As if those British souls didn’t brave the mighty Atlantic Ocean in order to escape religious oppression in their home country.

As if Americans didn’t fight British soldiers on now-US soil in order to achieve independence.

As if the first words to the US Constitution aren’t “We the people. . .”

As if people in my direct family line didn’t fight on behalf of those attempting to rid America of slavery.

As if this nation isn’t the finest “experiment in progress” on the entire planet.

As if this country is the most racist, the most arrogant, the most greedy, the most base, the most evil, the most violent nation on the globe.

Which it is not.

And:

As if Freedom is actually “free” and carries no cost.

  1. How can that be BZ, all the tree huggers are not allowing drilling or anything there???? Sarcasm

The fact is BZ fires are a necessary part of the forest area, in order for them to flourish fires must exist, the “enviro’s” do more harm than good when they disallow logging, forest thinning and some management due to wildlife…

Stay safe bud, yall are in our thoughts and prayers
