The true value of Ted Cruz

Senate VoteDo I like Ted Cruz?

Actually, yes I do.  Cruz speaks his mind, and he most certainly is not representative of the Establishment GOP — which I strongly dislike.  My days of voting for another Bush, a Romney, a McCain, another Old Staid GOP’er are gone.

So yes, I would vote for Ted Cruz.

That said, is he electable?

If somehow he, like Barack Hussein Obama before him, emerged from the Senate to the presidency, I would not quail.  Cruz makes way more sense, possesses actual ideas and says what he thinks and means.

That said, is he electable?

Perhaps yes, perhaps no.

However, the largest contribution Ted Cruz may make to the Conservative side of the presidential elections is keeping the other runners honest.  He will call “bullshit” on others who are running when they do not espouse true Conservative ideals, which is precisely what other runners need.

And if nothing else, that may be the true value of Ted Cruz.

  1. He’s my #1, my #2 would be Walker, my #3 would be Perry. Other than that I’ll vote Hillary for spite. GOP has betrayed me for the last time.

  2. This morning I heard echoes of Reagan in Senator Ted Cruz’s speech and an historical shiver went down my spine. His announcement from Liberty University was concrete proof that Cruz is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant and gifted speakers ever to grace a political stage. He doesn’t bother using a teleprompter because what he says comes from his heart – it is second nature and honest. He made his presidential announcement in Jerry Falwell’s place – the very lap of the Moral Majority. And much to the Left’s chagrin, he has morals, principles, ethics, faith and a spine. This is a man not afraid to get down on his knees and pray. It’s like throwing garlic in the face of a Marxist vampire. The Left and the Right are terrified of Ted Cruz – he is the people’s choice. And there is not a candidate out there that is more positive, more gifted, more masterful and more charismatic at stating strongly what conservatism truly is.

  3. Like him? Perhaps. Waste of time? DEFINITELY! He is already being dismantled by Republicans and Democrats alike and his speech is replete with absolutes and lacks fire. From what I read, he (as with our current “leader”) Cruz ALSO lacks foreign policy experience – something VERY critical and which becomes more so with each and every passing day.

I keep waiting for someone who can knock enough socks off to command an electable lead. Of course, since the president has already said he wants to make voting mandatory for ALL voters (which now includes all the illegals he has allowed to swamp our land), it seems to be, perhaps, a moot point.

ALL of this is assuming that, given all the bad things that the administration is setting the stage to allow to happen, that thanks to Executive Order 13603, we may be stuck with this president beyond 2016.

Let me ask this. As one example, he claims he will quash and end the “health care” act. Why hasn’t he already BEGUN demonstrating his resolve. Frankly NO republicans in The House or Senate have broken a sweat to stop this – or any of the other unconstitutional antics of the last 6 years.

    • Ted Cruz has been working to negate the Affordable Care Act. This takes time and allies. There is work on the Hill, as in daily life, that we don’t hear or see every detail of. He is part of a group, Mike Lee and others, working for this. The old dogs have to get replaced, Ted Cruz and his group are the beginning.

Mandatory voting is a pinnacle of Socialism, an apparatus akin to the forced voting in Unions, and I believe it is not only unconstitutional, it will be blocked by those of Ted Cruz’ disposition.
Change takes a certain amount of time, and the fact that the old dogs in the GOP are afraid of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and others, is a good thing.
Find the true conservatives in your district and state, and support them fervently. This is the only way to get things back right.
Mr. Cruz, if you’re reading this, stand strong. You do have a growing support base. I support you 100%.

      • Barack Obama had no foreign policy experience either.
A good President will pick good staff members to help him with foreign policy among other things. No one person knows everything by themselves. Every great President has to choose a good cabinet with the same values and vision as he or she.
