The MSM/DEM are up in a fever about the
threats and voicemails made to various politicians following this past Sunday’s adoption, via the House, of the first form of ObakaKare.
As I wrote on cj’s blog,
An Angry American, with regard to these threats: “
First: I’m sure Mr Stupak doesn’t kill puppies in his back yard. A decent man — probably. But there is a clash of philosophy present and there are so many bills for errors in the past about to come due.
It is clear, now, that there is NO such thing as a Blue Dog Demorat or a “conservative” Demorat. Zell Miller is long gone.
No, I do not condone death threats and the like; and yes, I believe it diminishes the message Conservatives are attempting to make.
But I understand, to a degree, their source. It’s anger. And frustration. And that leads to people just plain being scared.
People are starting to become scared.”
As
Greybeard pointed out a moment later: “the Democrat party platform supports the killing of babies.” Plain enough. Stupak, for example, purported to be pro-life then sold his vote for $700,000 worth of grants for his airports and an Executive Order which isn’t worth much of what it’s printed on, and can be reversed quite handily.
You can yell at your representatives, call them Bad Names. That’s legal in this country. What you cannot or should not do is threaten them with death, conduct vandalism. There are legitimate options. The first option is at the ballot box.
We all know one thing in this country: silence is tacit consent. And we cannot be silenced, we shall not lose our voice. But we diminish our superior position when we threaten lawmakers with death. Let us not forget that ObakaKare is not quite etched into stone. And let us not forget that there are elections coming in November of this year. On that we must focus and focus hard.
The Demorats will be ultimately responsible, at this point, for the future of our country. They need to listen: The People are starting to get frightened. You are pushing too hard, too fast, and your sense of direction is way off.
That being said, I make some final points:
4. Was the N-Word truly bantered about last Sunday? You tell me. Even if so, you know what “side” the verbose person was on because. . . ? Again, if so, one person represents an entire movement? The Washington Post thinks not, in the case of killer Hasan from Ft Hood: “Hasan’s actions seems to have had much to do with his personal religious beliefs, but we cannot indict an entire faith for the distorted and disturbed thoughts and actions of one individual.”
5. Was a person actually arrested for spitting on a legislator? Capitol Police say: no. I suspect if the evidence existed that person would be sitting under a DC jail at this point.
6. And apparently the violence isn’t just against Demorats. Ask Eric Cantor.
But now — because you are threatened and not just the “groundlings,” it’s personal? Has anyone ever heard of people like this?
I don’t condone thuggish behavior; but Demorats, did you think there would be no price whatsoever to pay for your own actions the moment you cast a vote for ObakaKare this past weekend? When you begin to frighten the people, to indicate you hold little regard for the formative and foundational documents of this nation — you not only make a vast number of clear thinking people nervous, you begin to back them into a corner.
I say once again and, Demorats, you’d best be reading and listening: you are ultimately responsible for not only your own personal health and welfare, but that of an entire nation. Are you beginning to understand the very serious material between these lines?

Wow! I’m impressed. Terrific blog. This fellow Obama has done more damage to America than any other single politician. Corruption and cheat the people is the new name of the game.
And then there is Ken Gladney assaulted by the SEIU in St. Louis…
The Left just can’t bring themselves to decry violence by their own, and yet tell just how bad the violence from the Right is. If you do not want political violence, then decry all of it… you do not get to a civil society via threats, beatings and shootings unless you want a real war on your hands to settle things.
When Cantor complained, he was told it wasn’t a ‘big’ thing and not to worry… Gee, now that Dems are getting a few bricks through the window it’s death threats, extra protection and, and, and…
And yes, they SHOULD be scared! They have over-ridden the will of the people and those in the Silent Majority are becoming less and less silent about that treatment!
Wanta start a pool?
I think you’ve hinted at it already BZ…
The Dollar will soon be near-worthless. When that happens, all hell will break loose and bad things will happen at all levels of government. Our National Security could even be at risk…
Our country’s enemies may take advantage of the distraction.
Bozama joked yesterday about “Armageddon”. He’s an idiot. I hope I’m wrong, but I think we could certainly be facing a total collapse of the economy and society.
The pool? Does the collapse happen sooner, or later?
I think it might be very smart to begin to chat with neighbors about what actions you’ll take when your local L.E. agents have their hands too full to respond to your calls… a neighborhood “Mutual Aid” agreement, if you will.
Hope for the best.
Prepare for the worst.
The right is the gold standard for division and threats of violence
I guess the left believes that any threats or violence by them is OK but the mildest threat by the right is dangerous.
All of this, especially good ol’ BD, proves my point:
We have more to lose when people claiming to be on our side resort to thuggish behavior.
The same behavior on the left is buried while the stuff on the right makes headline news for days and days.
It has to stop because we wind up doing the left’s job and marginalizing ourselves.
And thanks for proving my point, BD.

Enough discussing this ridiculous crap, this is liberpuke tactic and we are all falling for it. Many TV stations, all the blogs and everywhere you look we are talking about a few morons, that could just as well be plants, or attacks that never occured. What are we not doing? Discussing the government takeover, the loss of our rights, the over taxing, heavy spending of a liberpuke POS president and his pet hag in the house. Exactly what the liberpukes want….Leave it alone and stay on point… make them argue merits of socialism, marxism and communism… That’s the battle and the tactics they are using now are “Move the discussion” they can’t win the discussion, they must change the topic….Fight the urge to wrestle with the pigs in the mud.
super post, BZ. You are SO right.
The SEIU beating got NO exposure on the mainstream news…
well, you’re right on ALL counts.
Cantor’s threat hasn’t appeared, either, on mainstream news, but the other way around SURE DID.
I don’t know how these ‘journalists’ can live with themselves except that their liberal professors have taught them that liberals know better…
Oh, I just read shoprat’s comment. I’ll slink into my silly wordy self again licking my wounds that he says it SO much better than I ever could.
Bump: thank you kindly sir, thanks for visiting and thanks for taking the time to comment.
AJ: good point. If you decry some you decry all.
NFO: anyone else shot at yet? Why, that would be no. . .
Greybeard: depends; some days I think, you know, we’ve got a chance. Others, like today, I think some things will be dovetailing downwards by the end of the year.
Bd: evidently, dude, you know nothing of the 60s and 70s. Baader/Meinhof ring a bell? SDS? Weathermen? Apparently not.
Shop: yes, as the only individual who had a firearm utilized against his office was, oddly enough, a member of the GOP, Mr Cantor.
cj: as my wife says, sometimes people exist on earth for the sole purpose of illustrating what not to do.
Bushwack: precisely; hence my link to “agent provacateurs.”
BZ
Z: not to worry; Shop frequently says things better than many of us.
BZ
Myself included, of course.

BZ,
I’ve been out of commission for awhile due to illness. Sorry for the late post on this. As usual you hit it right good. It’s amazing that threats and violence count when the left want them to, but are off the radar scope when they don’t. I wonder if they really get what a threat you and I felt everyday?
WE THE PEOPLE are feeling a huge disconnect with our elected public servants.
Therefore, I’m not surprised that frustration levels are running so high.
People are indeed scared, as well.
But threats of violence? Nope. Those won’t accomplish anything in the long run. We must make our voices heard at the ballot box; should that avenue be silenced, then unleash the dogs of war.
Finally: Bushwack, you are ultimately correct. The Left wants the talking points to be about the specious and mostly unsubstantiated things alleged. We need to re-focus like a laser beam back on the issue and CONTINUE with TEA Parties nationwide. The truth will out.
