US government Kabuki Theater, Pt. IV

This is the continuation of a series of posts dealing with issues where some individuals in the United States government are attempting to hold at least a portion of the rest of the federal government accountable and responsible for its actions and inactions. The public displays we find, however, are not unlike the most bizarre of Kabuki Theater or Theater of the Absurd.

Here, Jason Chaffetz expects some kind of accountability or responsibility from the DoD, or Department of Defense.

Please remember, ladies and gentlemen, these are your federal tax dollars either

  1. At work, or
  2. Pissed away with abandon

More to come.

  1. What really REALLY pisses me off is that it is impossible for almost EVERY politician to give anyone a simple YES or NO answer. Even, like in the video, where they questioning person asks them to say just one word…Yes or No, they cannot say it. They blather on about everything that has nothing to do with the answer, making sure it all sounds like they did something positive, yet you walk away wondering what they hell they said or even meant.

I will say this. I am a smart person. I have owned my own successful business for years, I have worked in federal positions of the govt, I have a law degree and an MBA degree, and I have NO FRICKING idea what the hell these idiots were saying. (What they hell is a deliverable?)

And why do they do this….SIMPLE!!! They fleeced the taxpayer out of millions of dollars…money that they did NOT earn, and they were caught and had to explain themselves and of course, they could not admit that they didn’t do a damn thing in order to get the millions of dollars they were paid.

Worst of all, the govt employee that made this deal with these crooks was either in on the scam and got a nice fat kickback…or is too damn stupid. Either way, he ought to be fired immediately. But of course, we all know that firing a govt employee is harder to do than cutting down a redwood tree with a herring.

And the govt wonders why they have trust issues with the public. Not sure about you, but in my book, $9 million dollars means something. If I spent that much money, I would expect to have a nice big mansion on the ocean, a Bentley or two in the garage, a yacht and a couple of jet skis, and a bevy of naked hot super models by the pool. Yet the govt only required a report for this amount of money and these jerks couldn’t even give us that. That was money taken from We The People.

Finally, I have to ask. If we did get a report. What was so awesome about this report that made it worth $9 million dollars? It damn well better be something that saves the govt more than $9 million dollars. Hell, here is a report from me to the govt for free. It will save them millions of dollars, and for this valuable info, I will charge them NOTHING.

    REPORT:

Step 1: DON”T BUY USELESS REPORTS FOR $9 MILLION DOLLARS.

    Step 2 – DONE.

    END OF REPORT

  2. Said of a man who swindled millions from thousands in fraudulent mining schemes, “…he can get more of the public’s money and hold it better; he can look you square in the face and talk less truth and more taffy; he has the most cheek and the least conscience; he can profess more sincerity and possess less; he has brought less to the mining interests and taken more from them…” *

These many hucksters in various fraudulent investment schemes are kith and kin of the fedgov crowd. It is a hopeful public which are the dupes.

  3. His frikkin’ lips are moving, he’s LYING!!! Tillotson is also full of it! They skewed the contract, since every one ‘I’ saw in 20 years of DOD work REQUIRED a close out/final report… sigh
