Want to get the GOP’s attention? “Boycott the RNC.”

From the IrishExaminerUSA.com:

Time To Boycott The RNC

By Alicia Colon

Throughout the 2012 election, I kept receiving mail from the Republican National Committee urging me to send in a donation for what was probably the most important election of our lives.

I ignored the entreaties and instead gave what I could to individual campaigns and ignored the RNC because it is totally clueless when it comes to winning elections. What worked in 2010 to win the House was ignored this year because the RNC is full of the establishment GOP that lives in an elitist bubble ignoring the fact that the Democrat Party has community organizers trained by Saul Alinsky.

Stop right there.

Because I have stopped right there.  And I suggest — no, entreatall of my readers to do so as well.  To: stop right there.  NO MORE cash to the RNC.

Alicia Colon continues:

Meanwhile, the liberals in Congress and the media continue to apply Alinsky’s rules for radicals by shouting racism and sexism at Republicans whenever they can. One can always tell when the liberals have no way to refute the truth when they bring up the race card.

Consider the attacks on those critics of Ambassador Susan Rice for her misleading statements on Benghazi incident:

On the Chris Matthews show, Richard Wolffe, who was recently named the vice president and executive editor of MSNBC’s revamped website, UN Ambassador Susan Rice and Attorney General Eric Holder have faced criticism recently because they’re black.

Alicia Colon, you are now on my Most Favored Nation Status.

And she gets down to the bone:

The Republicans have many outstanding people of color to reach out and convey the history and principles of the GOP in their communities. Unfortunately these individuals do not rank high in the upper echelons of the RNC and that is why throwing money at it to continue the cluelessness is a waste.

The GOP needs people like Alfonzo Rachel of PJMedia’s Zonation to speak for the party. Watch his YouTube videos where he demonstrates that he knows more about the history of the party than the RNC which refuses to get back to its basics. He equates how the Democrats rationalized slavery and is now equating abortion with it by not considering blacks or fetuses to be human.

The Paragraph, here:

For heaven’s sake, in Lincoln’s time, the GOP had brave radicals fighting against slavery. They were fighting a Democratic Party which founded the KKK yet most blacks and Hispanics believe that it is the party of civil rights and the GOP is against them.

Precisely.  Thank you, Alicia Colon.

And to all: go see the movie “Lincoln.”

I wrote earlier (in 2011) of the GOP’s tenuous predicament:

Dear GOP:

You are about to go the way of the Whig Party, and you don’t even realize it.

You were given a so-called “mandate” this past November.

You didn’t understand it then, and I’m convinced you simply don’t understand it now.

It’s a fight, and you said you would fight for Conservatism but, since then, you’ve shown nothing but limp-wristed — at best — compromise and, at worst, agreement with some of the Demorats’ bills and principles.

You are about to create — due to your indifference — a Third Party in this nation which will, in truth, weaken the GOP and Conservative values whilst, at the same time, strengthen Demorats and Leftists.

I used to write general checks to the RNC but, these days, I specifically TARGET my checks to individuals I consider to be more reflective of my thoughts. My most recent checks were to Sharron Angle, Tom McClintock, and Marco Rubio. They received, shall I say, a minimum of $1,000 each. That is money that could have gone to the GOP but, in my opinion, would have been squandered for the pablum that passes as the current GOP “platform.”

You, GOP, are losing your predominant Water Carriers. You are losing Rush Limbaugh. And, in my realm, more importantly, you are losing a much more even-keeled individual — Hugh Hewitt.

You were proffered what most people would consider a true mandate.

And, for the most part, since then, your “stands” have been akin to nailing Jello to a tree.

In the meantime, Mr Barack Hussein Obama has officially announced his candidacy for President in 2012. Earthshaking? Not quite. He is already at a 50/50 chance of election. Considering past and current standings, I find that absolutely amazing and, further, a revealing insight into the ignorance of American voters.

That said, in opposition, what does the GOP offer? Who? What? When?

I learned one thing, just one thing, from my high school “Civics” teacher, Mr Helms — goateed as he was in the 60s. He said: “Democrats don’t win elections; Republicans lose them.”

Perhaps it is truly time for a

Or am I completely and radically out of line?

Bottom line?

Stop sending cash to the RNC.  Period.

  1. Not one dime has flowed from my checking account to ANY national party, at national or state level, for many years. I support candidates I know and respect, usually at the state and local level. Occasional support goes to candidates who, while having little chance of being elected, are brave (or stupid) enough to run against Pelosi, Finestein, Schumer, McCain, etc.

In my state, Colorado, the GOP has the ability to run the damnest pack of borderline criminals and self righteous blowhards imaginable. Couldn’t do worse if they let the Dems pick their candidates for them.

Being a Blue Dog Democrat means I don’t fit in anywhere. Keyboard commando, I guess.

  2. Long before, during and after the 2008 elections I advocated for a Conservative 3rd Party and damn near everyone I know told me I was SO wrong and that all it would do is draw votes away from the GOP…

    Well DUH!

It would, or should also draw votes away from the Dems should they happen to run a reasonably conservative candidate, regardless, I am convinced that the GOP is broken, and beyond repair.

I have felt this way for a long time, but given the alternatives, who the hell else CAN you vote for?

We don’t need a 3rd party comprised of Ron Paul MORONS, that is a prescription for disaster. We need a Conservative Party that is made up of true Conservatives, not a bunch of GOP RINOs that are nothing but Dem Lite, we either field a real Conservative Party, populated by REAL Conservative candidates or this nation, as we once knew it, is over and done!

And I really don’t need to hear that old line of BULL SHIT about how all we need to do is *FIX* the GOP… Irreparable.. That is the bottom line, the GOP has lost its way and needs to stay lost.

    • A third party is a reflection of the temper I felt at the time.

Would a Third Party work now?

      I remain unconvinced.

Because, frankly, I am tapped out. I do NOT have the Answer.

      • We either do a 3rd Party or all is lost… It’s that simple…

Ideas? Like the ones I had over 4 years ago when I was raising all manners of hell about the GOP being beyond the point of no return and how the only solution was to go for it with a REAL Conservative 3rd Party?

We either DO, or we DO NOT. America rests in the balance.

          • It wasn’t just you, and what the hell, political differences always abound at election times, but I am still convinced that we either do it or we lose America forever..

I am too old to go to war, but men like us can and maybe should be the new speakers in the spirit of the Founders…

You and I have too much knowledge and skill to sit back and watch this nation die without trying to save her, and I believe we both have too much love of America too..

Would I still support Texas secession? Yes indeed, but only if there is no other viable alternative!

      • But, on the other hand, to WHOM go the bulk of the common e-mails?

        Yes, to the general constituency.

Who possess a few bucks here and a few bucks there.

        • I can promise you this; if MY little donations have made ANY difference along the way, they won’t have them again… I am through with the GOP and its RINO nonsense, its *Big Tent* politics, its all inclusiveness that has caused the REAL GOP to stray away from the game.

If there are enough small donors, we can make a difference, if enough Patriots will actually go along with the idea…

  3. Have not given money to the RNC since the middle of Ws second term due to their big spending ways. IMHO it is time for conservatives to commandere the GOP or form a true conservative 3rd party. Current GOP leadership is bullshit. They lost to an Islamo/Marxist twice! WTF!

  4. I vote republican, even though I am truly a conservative.
A take no prisoners believer in our Constitution!!!!
If only the libertarian party had someone like Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Bobbie Jindal, Jeb Hensarling, Then that would be my party.
The old fuddy duddy republicans will never win. These old fuddy’s like McCain have ruined the party.
So, a new party name is needed!!!!!
Let me know when one is named!
(I posted this on Texas Fred’s blog)

    • Back when I was attempting to learn HTML, I created an initial web page called the REALIST Party. I came up with a platform and all. I’ve been trying to locate that webpage in my digital archives.

  5. I love the first comment, being a Trekkie and all, and I absolutely concur. It’s time for a 3rd party that will listen to the people, adhere to the Constitution and will not wimp out when Democrats become aggressive.

I never gave money to any party or politician, simply couldn’t afford it and I was doing what I could, petitioning, going to rallies, Facebooking, blogging etc.

    The Whigs?? Hmm….
