Wednesday, November 3rd: Gone

No more House Speaker Pelosi.

No more Boeing jets.

No more exclusivities. No more exclusions from bills and acts.

No more Imperialism.

Sent back. With a mandate. And the mandate is this:

You did nothing but tax. But mostly you did nothing but spend.

  1. Stop the spending.

And if Dems don’t like a 2008 budget, then re-pass the 2000 budget… and if not that then the 1998 badget… then start asking if they want to fund SSA or Dept. of Agricultre? SSA or EPA? SSA or Education? SSA or Dept. of Energy? SSA or Labor Dept? SSA or the Federal Reserve?

My bet is that on one of those the Dems will finally accept that they will have to put SSA on the table for cuts/changes/phasing out. But if not, well, look at all the stuff that is far, far less important that can just not be funded!

GAO shuts those parts down, the workforce goes away, and the goods are sold at auction. DoD can live with slashed funding… Agriculture is not required and can go away now. Ditto Energy, Education, Labor, much of the interior outside of USGS…. lots can just not be funded and disappear off the map.

So if you don’t like austerity when its nice, then it is time for the hack and slash austerity of just not funding much of the US government.

SSA will still be around unless the Democrats yield and restructure and phase it out due to demographic impossibilities. Then the current individuals drawing from the system will still do so, but the rest of the country will see it recede into memory as FICA goes away. Just how much of the US government can we do without? It is time to find out when Obama uses his lovely veto pen on the budget… then he will be offered a chance to fund a few pieces of the government and be unable to veto what does not land on his desk. Then things get fun, very fun, indeed.
