    • I believe that is correct; not, at least, our generation. There are sealed documents regarding this that will not be UNsealed until 2017. And the killing of Oswald by Ruby assured the end of that info line.

  1. The site was ideal for an assassination with several good positions for a shooter. There may have been more than one group, or individuals, that spotted the potential, and used it. Imagine their confusion.

There was no shortage of people who wanted him dead. Castro? Revenge by anti Castro Cubans as payback for the Bay of Pigs? This list goes on. Friendly fire from a Secret Service weapon? Plausable.

One wonders how the Dallas Police Department got to Oswald so quickly. Great police work, or the result of a tip?

    +1 Old NFO.

  2. Just an opinion: It’s not that complicated. When we look at how Joe made his money and his affiliations with the mob and then how Bobby want after the mob. BINGO.

I remember a line from, I think, the second Godfather movie when Micheal says, “If history has taught us anything, it’s that you can kill anybody”.

    • Internet. I believe it’s from a movie. Not official, which is why I labeled it so. Very accurate, I would submit, however.

  3. The war surplus rifle, an Italian made Carcano 6.5 mm carbine was considered a cheaply made weapon. They flooded the market with them. Mail order 19.95 dollars.
The one I bought looked cheap, but the bolt action was sound and lock-up and trigger response was A-ok once you took up all the slack in thye trigger.

So, I know that this rifle(carbine) could shoot accurately in the hands of someone who has had marksmanship training.
The cartridge itself looked funny because the “projectile” stuck out very far from the brass.
The ballistics also would be lethal in a war setting.
The mounted telescope was cheap looking, but would produce the accuracy needed for this “kill shot.
My belief is that Lee Harvey was the lone shooter and killer of JFK.
Maybe the New Orleans mob supplied the money.
Maybe Jack Ruby had mob connections with this mob, and was told to kill Oswald, to seal up any ties.

  4. I have never believed that Oswald was the ONLY shooter, if he was a shooter at all… Kennedy had MANY enemies, The Mob, CIA, LBJ, Castro, that’s a gallery of *shooters* right there, but I have always thought that Oswald was indeed a *patsy*…

  5. John Jay has some interesting observations on this.

I think the truth of this will be known in 50 years or so, when it doesn’t matter except to those of us who are interested in accurate history.

  6. There is a web site that has a blown up picture that shows what appears to be LHO standing in the alcove of the front entrance of the TBD. The picture was taken less than a minute before JFK was shot.

Do I think Oswald was involved?

    Yes.

Do I think he was the shooter?

    I doubt it.

After looking at various photos, I think he took his rifle to the TBD, but someone else pulled the trigger.

    • Thank you sir, for visiting and taking the time to comment. I fear, however, we’ll not know the full story in our lifetime.

And I can suspect only ONE reason why JFK documents are shielded for so many years: to cover the government. What other benefit would there be?
