Oh but this gets worse. This bar graph shows EARNINGS. Compile entitlements, subsidies and other government hand-outs and I am SURE that the black and Hispanic categories move closer, if not surpassing Whites in total income, or the equivalence thereof.
This is especially true when considering that subsidies are not taxed and that they also do not have to pay all their housing, utilities and food expenses, not to mention the transportation, child care, medical insurance and work-related expenses that come with the gross earned income categories.
