Freedom slipping away under Obama

Freedom, Country RankingsYou’ve wondered about that feeling you’ve had for a few years now: where are my freedoms going?  Why do I feel less free?

Because it’s true; Americans are losing freedom, courtesy of Mr Obama.

From the WashingtonExaminer.com:

Under Obama, U.S. personal freedom ranking slips below France

by Jason Russell

Americans’ assessments of their personal freedom have significantly declined under President Obama, according to a new study from the Legatum Institute in London, and the United States now ranks below 20 other countries on this measure.

The research shows that citizens of countries including France, Uruguay, and Costa Rica now feel that they enjoy more personal freedom than Americans.

“This is not a good report for Obama,” Legatum Institute spokeswoman Cristina Odone told the Washington Examiner.

In the 2010 report (which relied on data gathered in 2009), the U.S. was ranked ninth in personal freedom, but that ranking has since fallen to 21st, with several countries, including France, Germany and the United Kingdom passing the U.S.

Frankly, Obama couldn’t care less.

There is no denying that Americans felt less free in 2013 after four more years of Obama’s presidency. And so now he faces the embarrassment of being the president that made Americans feel less free than the French.

Merci, monsieur le president.

        • Spoon fed or force fed, the Fed seeks control and power and Obama takes the Frank Underwood tack. Tomorrow, Obama enacts an Imperial Edict because, further, Congress is too stupid to act on its own. So the Anointed One will disregard an entire third of government and enact a Declaration regarding amnesty. Only Obama knows best.

          • So true. I look at the president’s plan to announce his executive orders regarding amnesty on Thursday as a firm confirmation that The United States of America is NO LONGER a sovereign nation and that the government has NO regard for all those citizens and border patrol agents who were robbed, beaten and killed by the illegals.

Meanwhile, Boehner promises to “get tough”. I think that means that he will wear his DARK pink tie. It doesn’t show his tears as obviously as his light pink tie.

As for the Personal Freedom Rankings, it kind of reminds me of the NCAA college football rankings. We are STILL in the top 25. That HAS to bother the president. To him that means it is imperative that he CRUSH the offense AND defense of the American people and drive them as FAR out of the top 25 as possible…

…even more than he has already done.
