The August 14th issue of a magazine called The Week displayed its standard hand-painted cover by artist Fred Harper, but this time the subject was Cecil the lion, showing a man with a scoped rifle taking aim at a baby Mufasa from the Disney film Lion King.
The cover displays not just one but three beloved Leftist memes: animals being frequently more important than people — in other words, accelerated and unrealistic “animal rights” — anti-gun sentiments, and anti-hunting sentiments.
In keeping with standard Leftist memes, it is also inaccurate.
The Minnesota dentist, Walter Palmer, did not shoot the lion with a rifle. He shot the animal with a bow. Nowhere in media articles is it written that Palmer shot the lion with a rifle.
Hence, the LIE which The Week has promoted on its cover — but is not supported by the article as printed inside the magazine itself.
Imagine that.
No matter what you think of hunting, firearms or animals, The Week is part of a continuing Leftist series of memes which clearly and obviously eschew facts and the truth.

Yep, BZ and the leftist MSM bias and articles will become greater and with more intensity as 2016 gets closer–The last refuge of a losing campaign will be filled with desperate left wing scare tactics.
And oh, does Hillary have her worriers. The Demorats — and Hillary — SHOULD be worried.
But there’s a move coming that I submit no one is seeing.
