ObamaKare: It’s NOT About Choice

Please watch the video; as opposed to what Mr Obama says, it’s NOT about your having a “choice,” it’s about your being forced to enter government-controlled and rationed healthcare.

Further, have you heard or read of the “Cloward-Piven Strategy“?

In summary, from American Thinker, it is this:

The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.

We already know that Mr Obama patterns his political ideology after Saul Alinsky and his book “Rules For Radicals.”

We already know that Mr Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, has said that “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

Continuing, from American Thinker:

Making an already weak economy even worse is the intent of the Cloward/Piven Strategy. It is imperative that we view the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan’s spending on items like food stamps, jobless benefits, and health care through this end goal. This strategy explains why the Democrat plan to “stimulate” the economy involves massive deficit spending projects. It includes billions for ACORN and its subgroups such as SHOP and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Expanding the S-Chip Program through deficit spending in a supposed effort to “save the children” only makes a faltering economy worse.

Oh America, you have little if any idea what you’ve even remotely done by electing Mr Obama and the concomitant placement of his minions.

  1. Yes healthcare costs are rediculous. To fix a problem you need to fix the source not the symptom. The reason healthcare is so expensive is physician cost. Why does a doctor cost so much?
Because he has to cover his malpractice insurance. It is not unusual for a doctor to pay 50 GRAND a year for insurance. Thats a hell of a chunk when the average doctor makes 90 grand a year. Lawsuit reform is what is needed not the govt taking over yet ANOTHER industry. A lawsuit is supposed to to get justice NOT to hit the lottery.

  2. We listened to Obama give his BS speech to the AMA today, I was almost in tears, not because of what Obama said, because of what was NOT said, or was skirted, lied about, left between the lines…

The guy is clueless… That is putting it mildly…

  3. That traitorious SOB has GOT TO GO! If America doesn’t vote in a whole new Congressional hierachy in 2010, our way of life is dead. As it stands, it will already take years if not decades to fix what is screwed up in this country. Between Clinton, Bush, and now this asshole we have mortgaged at least 4 generations of our offspring.

  4. WMD: and why WON’T there be tort reform, and Loser Pays? What does DC have more-of per square inch than any other city? Attorneys.

TF: and this is what people get for voting with emotions. Which, if you think about it, McCain managing to run so close in the vote bespeaks still volumes about the Obama With A Mandate.

AA: think about it for a moment: don’t you see the Cloward-Piven strategy in Mr Obama’s actions?

  5. BZ, McCain was a DESPERATION vote, nothing more…

McCain was as potentially as dangerous as Obama, he could have been elected and then pulled a *Specter*, and that is still a distinct possibility..

Get over McCain man, he was a BAD choice made by a DESPERATE party, the GOP screwed the pooch and it’s time someone actually said it…

All McCain had to distinguish himself from Obama was, McCain wasn’t suspect in the citizenship department…

  6. My point was, Fred, that Mr Obama is SO truly weak that even McCain gave him, for a time, trouble. And that despite that damned near EVERY media outlet and employee is in absolute love with him — ABC has now announced, for example, that they’ll be anchoring their news from INSIDE the WHITE HOUSE.

How much MORE can the media suck this guy’s cock?

  7. Obama is pushing this country closer and closer to the abyss. Either civil war or implosion. Neither history nor God will treat him kindly.

  8. This whole thing is scary. This is like living in the twilight zone. I never would have thought we would begin becoming like Europe and worse yet it looks as though we might be setting up to become the next Venezuela or Cuba.

  9. Most idioic Americans gave up Choice when they voted the Obamanation into office. We have to stop bitching about this moron now and concentrate on the 2010 and 2012 elections when we can get the idiots!!
That is if they even allow free elections then…….

  10. WMD maker makes a point about physician costs. However, the history of the insurance industry paints an interesting picture. According to one major insurance company, that is a non profit btw, they started pooling people together sometime around the early part of the last century because most individuals could not afford to pay for doctors services. This was before malpractice insurance was invented.

Doctors and lawyers have been fleecing people for decades. Ask yourself why would we need insurance if healthcare was affordable to begin with? It never was affordable.

I have nothing against insurance companies at all; I have everything plus some against doctors. They think that cuz they learned how to operate on people that they are God’s gift to the world. What BS!

Obama’s plan is the most non sensical bullshit I’ve ever ever ever heard! I cannot possibly fathom what a wretched mess his health care so called reform will get us into.

We will have to wait in line to get routine procedures and medication and take up the flack for lazy’s who don’t work and never have worked. And we will have to pay for indigents who are incapable of working.

I don’t mind helping out children and families in need, provided they work or are looking for a job, but all his plan will do is shift the cost to the middle class even more. AND I bet your back bottom dollar that our federal tax burdens will turn out to increase after all is said and done.

I hope to God Congress doesn’t approve his bs so called reforms.

    Whew, rant over!

  11. Anonymous: my apologies to you sir, I fear that, being the result of a current public school education, you have failed to hear, with those auricles on the side of your head and, moreover, to actually process internally the words spoken by those persons caught on video with regard to Mr Obama’s clear and present plan.

It cannot be made more obvious than to bottom line Obama’s plan as government-controlled healthcare, the ultimate goal being to run private interests out of the healthcare equation. What do you think “single payer” MEANS, anyway? It means the GOVERNMENT by way of the American taxpayer.

I might suggest you make your happy life happier and simply go back to pressing the cheeseburger button at McDonald’s. I sense you’ve tapped out your techno capabilities by simply coming here. After all, please, I don’t come to your counter to call YOU names.

  12. Anny you will not have a choice!!

Ballsack intends to FINE those who do not get insurance. So not only do you not get insurance but you still have to pay. I chose to not have insurance now because O do not see the financial sense in paying $2500 a year for insurance that only pays half of my medical costs. I dont pay out more than $1500 now when I pay the whole amount that I use.
In Ballsacks plan I would have to pay at least $2000 (more likely $3000) and still have to pay at least $1000 in co-pays and “non covered” items and pay tax on the benifits on top of it.

  13. Look at the UK where you get a ‘choice’ to pay for MORE coverage after paying FOR government health care that you can’t GET. You pay TWICE for healthcare you get ONCE. That is no ‘choice’: that is extorting you for the expansion of government to provide worse health care than you can get NOW.

I do not see dead people laying unburied in the streets.

Health care is a liberty, not a right: you must use your liberty to the best you can, and society provides for those without through this thing known as ‘charity’. Charities are far, far, far more efficient than any government, anywhere, at any time on this planet will EVER BE. I do not want now or ever for government bureaucrats and ‘health ethicists’ to take part in deciding my treatment as that is giving up essential liberty for NO security as I can take better care of myself than any bureaucracy can ever do.

You do have a ‘right’ to seek health care: that is given to you in Amendment IX and X. Government at the federal level is to keep OUT of those rights as they are the sole domain of the States and the people. You have your liberty to seek health care to the best ends possible, and to then decide if you will accept charity for the rest.

We started to destroy the charitable system when we subsidized health care via the tax code in the 1940’s to get people to go to work when their Social Security kicked in! Isn’t that lovely? Social Security was taking people from the workforce and to make up for that ‘good thing’ government had to provide a subsidy that distorted the entire system and made it more costly as people didn’t have to bear the burden of figuring out what their health actually IS. Good job! That is what happens when government gets involved: it takes essential liberty from you and you, thinking something is free, then don’t care about the cost and the cost rises beyond what any sane person would be willing to pay. Now it is ‘too expensive’ to get, when, prior to the subsidy, no one went without in the poorest of neighborhoods during the GREAT DEPRESSION. I know, my older family members talked about this back and told me how they still GOT health care that did not come from government, and it was adapted to their needs by their providers: doctors and pharmacists. That was it… no bureaucrats, no health insurance, no extra tests, and getting the treatment you could afford and seeking charity, mostly via various Church run facilities, for those things that were beyond the ability of your local physician to handle.

That WORKS and did not impoverish ANYONE as they were POOR already due to the GREAT DEPRESSION. No paying twice to get once… no being put on waiting lists… no lack of treatment or medications. And these people who were poor during that era lived into their late 70s and mid-80s. That is not a system that was ‘broken’: government broke it.

  14. Anon and Obama’s supporters don’t investigate anything on their own even though all the details of Obama’s deception are out there. Just wait until it effects them. That is what it will take.

All socialized health care is, is rewarding those who are lazy-making them dependant on government and punishing those who work hard.

It punishes the BIG private business sector as well which will punish the ‘little guys’ like Anon who work for the big guys because they will be let go. It also punishes small business owners. All these hard working people who have always been able to survive and some who have excelled will be smacked down no matter how hard they work.

This is the opposite of the universal principle God has set up regarding work ethics and what happens to those who work hard and those who are lazy.. Those who are lazy, poverty will come, those who work hard will have food. Obama is trying to reverse something God set up and it won’t work. It won’t feed the lazy.. What will happen is what has happened in other socialist or fascist countries. Everyone will suffer, no one will benefit except the government and those in power.

Oh yeah, anon.. Remember when Hussein said he isn’t a socialist and isn’t interested in taking over the private sector? Read the news. Every day it is something new: http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/WEQ001111.htm OBAMA CALLS FOR SUPERVISION OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL FIRMS.,

Yeah, he is change you can believe in Anon. He is not a socialist, we are just fear mongers and living in a fantasy world. We should put a blindfold on and believe everything he says not what he does.

  15. Rivka:
I liked your statement about universal single payer healthcare rewarding the lazy. It provides absolutely NO incentive for folks to work and get it together. It DOES shift the cost to the middle class and as AJ pointed out you end up paying twice for a shitty service.

God help us get through this man’s abominable presidency! I hope and I trullly truly hope that the next President has more sense.

  16. The Dems seem to spout off about “pro-choice” every election year, but the real choice we need is in health care for ourselves and our families!

Obama’s media rounds this week are just another reminder that the private sector and competitive market forces, not the federal government, are the best means to meeting our country’s rapidly expanding health care needs.

I was looking for a way to try and do something positive about it, and just signed a petition with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce here to help emphasize that. We need to get involved!
