Republicans Just Do What They’re Told:

To a degree I have to admit he’s correct; however, I completely differentiate Republicans from Conservatives — who happen to have minds of their own.

No lobbying? Complete transparency? Most ethical administration ever?

Right. Conservatives. Just doing what we’re told. Completely unlike the Demorats, who are such independent thinkers. . .

Sound like Our Hero will be out for TV news with “The Fairness Doctrine” as with terrestrial radio?

Opinions?

  1. Obama is turning out to be a great, great politician and we should have expected that from someone coming out of Chicago. I fail to see why so many are surprised. More lobbyist and less transparency are the rule of the day in the new White House. Barack Himself Obama just can’t help himself, its in his blood.

  2. Bloviate away, but with facts, attributions and maturity.

If you really mean it, then deaconbleu hasn’t got a chance..

Just sayin’… That is one crude and uncalled for remark he made to Jenn…

  3. The Fairness Doctrine (under which I worked as the host of a political panel show in the 50’s”) is a rotten thing, but the really nervewracking thing that evolved from some of these tapes is the sanguin nature and approval shown of the Obama administration’s direct and multifaceted attack on Freedom of Speech shown in the promotion of the Fairness Doctrine, the attack on Fox News, and the promotion by U.S. diplomats of a United Nations official condemnation of Free Speech as related to religion. (see Muslims, I don’t see much concern with attacks on Catholics, Mormons and Wicca.)

  4. Touche on on the Raytheon lobbyist, BZ. I also don’t like Gietner being Treasury Sec. “A limited number of waivers” is bull.

I have to tell you, I really don’t see a lot of difference between Fox and CNN. They are both fluff and sensationalist driven. Think Balloon Boy. They both spent over an hour blathering about that when they had no information. They are a luaghing stock. I’m sure you guys think Fox is better because they are reflexivly against anything Obama, but CNN certainly isn’t liberal. MSNBC is liberal. BBC America is fairly unbiased.

I almost never listen to Hannity, Limbaugh, or Beck. I actually liked Limbaugh 20 years ago, but he has just drifted so far right that there is zero objectivity. That and his constant attacks on my hometown (Detroit).

Another great news source is the Financial Times of London.

  5. TF: just eliminated another two. Any time he shows, he’ll be gone.

Maggie: ObamaKare is currently on the card with a full court press; next will be Cap N Tax.

3S10: the rest of the world, I can understand; they don’t have our First Amendment or Constitution. But to limit free speech is to limit THEIR speech in the future.

Rivka: hey, haven’t seen you in a while. Good to hear from you!

Tim: on this you and I can seem to agree — CNN and Fox and others are certainly fiscally-driven.
