Supreme Court: Arizona’s citizenship proof law is illegal

US Supreme CourtMeaning: you can’t require proof of citizenship when registering to vote.

From the Associated Press:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states cannot on their own require would-be voters to prove they are U.S. citizens before using a federal registration system designed to make signing up easier.

Welcome to your New United States, America, where Scalia votes in the majority as well.

  1. That is an extraordinarily large vessel of excrement, the odor of which we certainly can’t abide as a nation. Why don’t we just let lizards, pug-dogs and assorted vermin vote as well. it means the same thing, right?

  2. I’m beginning to think Arizona needs to outsource the writing of their legislation. Why is it that Indiana had no problem with voter ID?

    • Because Indiana is not a battleground border state. Most of the illegals cross through Arizona desert, picking up their “Free Cheese” cards in Tucson or Phoenix on their way north. They also register to vote on their way through.

What I don’t get is how illegals can have civil (citizen) rights when they aren’t even citizens …

    • All about the Power.

What these Leftists fail to understand is that, with the “right” person, the same bullcrap can be pulled during a Republican administration — look at the precedent, for Christ’s sake.
