The Other Side: Oakland PD Officer Executions

I was originally going to write in depth, today, about the economy.

But first, I’d like to briefly cover a local situation in Fornicalia wherein a 26-year-old rapist/parolee named Lovelle Mixon shot and killed two Oakland Police Department officers last week during a vehicle stop, then shot and killed two more officers who attempted to arrest him in an apartment a short distance away from the original scene. Mixon himself was shot and killed at that apartment. He first opened fire on and killed two more officers with an AK-47 there.

The wanted parolee initially shot the two motor officers who pulled him over. ABC7 also confirmed late Monday night that Mixon then stood over the patrol cops and shot them again, execution style in the head. He then fled to his sister’s apartment and fired a semiautomatic weapon as he hid in closet. The bullets blasted through walls.

You may want to read what the general Oakland public thinks of this incident but, beware, take a deep breath first: go here to see.

I shake my head. But you need to read how others view this horrific event.

This is 2009, not 1970.

  1. This is a sad thing to happen in America, but it highlights the wisdom of our Founders.

“[N]either the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.” -Samuel Adams

  2. I made a comment on ALL of those sites, it will be interesting to see if ANY of it is allowed to stand…

I look for this summer to be very HOT, and I don’t necessarily mean the weather…

  3. Greywolfe: this just reminds of of the late 60s and early 70s all over again — and, AGAIN, a hotbed was Oakland, San Francisco and the bay area.

TF: and I’m sure you were circumspect in your observations!

Hot summer? Yes, on ANY number of levels.

  4. I can imagine what the Oakland at large community thinks and a deep breath won’t keep me cool hearing their anti cop screeds. Hot summer if we even make it that far the way things are breaking right now….Good post and nice blog, btw I added you to my blogger blog listing deal man….

  5. BZ,
This woman is of the same ilk as Sarandon, Penn, Robbins, and the rest of leftie crowd. With BO in power these scumbags have an ear. That’s frightening as hell.

Is it any wonder we developed an us vs. them mentality? I know that when I went to work I immediately felt that my life was in the hands of my fellow officers. I was unable to mentally depend upon anyone but them for my welfare. Exactly the same feeling I had in the military.

This situation fortifies that my feelings were correct.

  6. I heard the woman who tipped off police as to where he was hiding out doesn’t want her identity revealed for fear of her life. It’s a form of terrorism when the decent in society have to live in fear of the obscene walking amongst us, masquerading as fellow citizens when in fact they’re the scum of society.
