US 9th Circuit Court: a $1 MILLION DOLLAR vacation on YOU, the American Taxpayer!

For reference, please see the US Debt Clock.

And with the US almost $16 TRILLION dollars in debt, and with $57 TRILLION in total debt including interest:

The federal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals — the most overturned court in the history of our nation(And resides in my state, Fornicalia!) has decided it wise to take a recess vacation on the Hawaiian Islands. To the tune of roughly $1 MILLION DOLLARS. It has 29 seats and the concurrent “support staff.”

The main office:

THE JAMES R. BROWNING COURTHOUSE
95 7TH STREET
SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94103
Phone: (415) 355-8000
Hours: 8:30AM – 5:00PM

From the HawaiianReporter.com:

Newt Gingrich had the right idea all along. Unfortunately he is gone from the race now and what ever else Mitt Romney will or will not do, one of Newt’s better ideas will not be adopted.

What was that idea and what was he so right about?

He was right about the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the need to simply abolish it.

The 9th Circuit has not come out with a new outrageous decision. They do that all the time. No, the 9th Circuit is doing something even more outrageous.

In the middle of the Great Obama Depression, the 9th Circuit is blowing a million dollars so they can have a really nice getaway at a resort in Hawaii.

Travel alone for this conference is going to cost almost $700,000. Then you have the additional expenses that go along with that, including lodging and an almost $400 a day per diem. In addition, Breitbart.com estimates that there will be another $700,000 spent in salaries for the 267 Judges during their time in Hawaii.

The 9th Circuit not only defends its expensive actions but doubles-down:

Judges from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals are defending their plans for a million dollar conference in Hawaii in August in the face of questions posed by two Republican senators.

In a statement issued Monday afternoon, a spokeswoman for the court said the expense to taxpayers is justifiable. “As part of the Third Branch of government, the Ninth Circuit is fully aware of its responsibilities as a steward of public funds,” she said.

She also explained that the conference is authorized by law “for the purpose of considering the business of the courts and advising means of improving the administration of justice within the circuit [28 U.S.C. Sec. 333].”

The judges claim the conference fulfills this purpose, and say that their social activities will not be paid for by taxpayers. The letter from Sens. Sessions and Grassley cite snorkeling, yoga, sailing and many other activities as part of the itinerary.

So wait — I get it now! This taxpayer debauchery is funded NOT by our taxpayer dollars but by, instead, their OWN personal and private dollars — ?

Let me copy this again: The judges claim the conference fulfills this purpose, and say that their social activities will not be paid for by taxpayers.

If this Hawaiian retreat isn’t being paid by taxpayers, or privately by all of those 9th Circuit individuals involved — then it’s perhaps paid by Red Lectroids from the 8th Dimension?

Hello? Anyone listening or reading? Can anyone adjudge these flacks as LYING SACKS OF SHIT?

Or am I simply another judgmental, obscene troll on my own blog?

Whilst you and I go bleeding, obstructed by federal regulations, whipped into submission by incontrovertible taxes, our paychecks cut, the benefits of parasites expanded —

— our 9th Circuit DEITIES decide to spend your taxpayer LARGESSE on Hawaiian resorts, drinks with little umbrellas, really nice suites with Jacuzzis, and the concomitant security that necessitates.

I mean — really — if the 9th gets overturned again, don’t you want them in their best possible mental spirits in order to make more ridiculous decisions likely to get ignored?

As supreme and imperial federal judges appointed for Life, I only want the best for them.

Or perhaps not.

You can do the math on this one.

  1. Every now and then I get very teary eyed, maudlin, and sentimental over my beloved home state of California. Then I get sarcastic and dismissive about my adopted Virginia homeland. In these phases, I always find that Virginia comes up short.

You call that a mountain? Why, in California…

You call those waves? Why, in California…

A nice summer day? Sure, but the humidity is killer. Why, in California…

    Yadda yadda…

But then reality hits. Thank you for the splash of cold water to the face. I needed that.

  2. “They” truly believe they are un-touchable!
    Yes they do.
They truly believe their own propaganda!
I have followed some of their “overturned” rulings, and it is really hard to believe they are in the USA!!
It is time to find another “Judge Roy Bean type” and elect him.
I say him, unless there is another woman out there like the Arizona Governor Jan Brewer.

  3. While reading this I couldn’t believe what I was reading. This nation is so deep in debt that our children and grandchildren will be paying it off and these these flacks as LYING SACKS OF SHIT are stealing from us.

How many of us would love to have a million dollar vacation?

This is infuriating and I agree with you, wholeheartedly, it is time to abolish, disband, fire and rid ourselves of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

  4. Susan: frankly, it was wonderful to find your great site. We both appear to have made something of a 180 post-college. I know why I did — I became a cop. I suspect there’s an enticing story with you as well.

Looks like it’s time to place you into my The Usual Suspects blogroll!

LOVE your blog and keep on keeping on!

  5. Mark, I think we had it in us all along. We were just full of youthful hijinkery and silliness back in the day. At core, we always loved our country and our soldiers. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have become a cop, and I wouldn’t have followed the national security route. It just took us a while to grow into our life work. My story is… well, if you read between the lines on my bio, you will catch the drift.

I still have the hijinks gene. If you look at the Athena Vitamin tab on my blog, you will see what I mean. I am SOOOOO thrilled that you like my blog! Coming from you, that means the world. Really. I love yours, as well. Keep hitting ’em; keep speaking the truth!

BTW, how did you find me?

  6. Susan: I “googled” something military in nature and came to some photographs. One of them was of you at a meeting. I thought: nah! Can’t be. Until I looked closely and thought: yep! It is! Perhaps I can send an e-mail?
