FBI official Peter Strzok’s first public hearing tumbled into a rancorous and heated political fracas on Thursday, as Republicans clashed with Democrats as well as the former investigator over his anti-Trump texts — and even threatened contempt for initially refusing to answer questions on the Russia probe.
Strzok, throughout it all, remained defiant and maintained that he did not show bias in those infamous messages with former FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
Republicans sharply disputed that assessment, with Rep. Darrell Issa later making Strzok read examples of those texts aloud. Among them, Strzok read one message where he called Trump a “disaster,” and another calling him an “idiot.”
Listening is best, however. Here is Rep Trey Gowdy, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, with Peter Strzok.
Rep Jim Jordan had the opportunity to question FBI Agent Peter Strzok.
Finally, so too did Rep Louis Gohmert question Strzok.
And this is the Demorat response to essentially the head planner of a soft coup against the United States of America — which is clearly acceptable to the LDAMM.
At one point FBI Agent Peter Strzok was the actual head of Counterintelligence for the agency and, despite this, he compromised himself to outside actors in 1) Having an affair with Lisa Page as a married man, and 2) Providing a surfeit of material to be compromised by outside actors in a continuing series of seemingly never-ending texts. I should also point out the obvious as well — all on official FBI and hence taxpayer purchased equipment on FBI time.

Is that not what I said? Are these not the facts?
Let us remember that Inspector General Horowitz wrote, about Strzok, that he had a “clear biased mindset.” Let us also remember that Special Counsel Robert Mueller removed Peter Strzok from his team. Why?
This is quite sadly all you need to know about the FBI — as Strzok is still employed — and all you need to know about the kind of an individual who partakes mightily in a soft coup against a presidential candidate, a president-elect and a sitting president.

Strzok seemed amused. Almost as though he knows he can’t be touched. You could see a seasoned prosecutor in Tray Gowdy. So sorry he isn’t running for reelection.
I think Gowdy has had it with what, in essence, is nothing but Kabuki Theater. And you’re right, Strzok just might not be touched at all.

This came to mind as I watched this farce, well, parts of it. Maybe someone touched on this, I don’t know. What information is subject to national archiving? I seem to remember hearing with the clinton emails some discussion that using her private server bypassed required archiving. Now I wonder how this requirement affects texts made by government officials on government devices. By using his official government phone, doesn’t that make texts work related? Wouldn’t that potentially make them subject to official archiving? Or is he too small a fish? Or am I totally off base here?
It bothers me that he used his government device to text such inflammatory comments and now has the gall to say they are his personal political opinions and so his ‘right’. But using an official phone to communicate hate like this, no matter how he dresses it up, well, can’t be within department permitted uses, can it? isn’t that a misuse of government equipment among other things? If he solely used his private phone, that’s one thing. But putting this on a government phone? Why?
As for the democrats, that slimy s o b who would like to give stzrok a purple heart? How dare he??? HOW DARE HE??
And all those vermin who used this as a platform to whine and throw stones at the president esp as he is on foreign soil, all shows what is wrong with our Republic these days.
