Gird thy loins people and be prepared to stand up for what exists and what is right. If one measure can stand for a not guilty verdict for O.J. Simpson, then another measure can stand for a not guilty verdict for George Zimmerman.

Again, in my aerie in the Sierra Nevada mountains, I don’t much care one way or the other. It’s quite wonderful to be disconnected.

Ron, I’m not so sure this time… There is an attitude in the air… I talked to your next door neighbor, the one directly across from me, and he was all *butt hurt* about Zimmerman shooting that *child*…

Imagine how all that “rioting stuff” plays okay in packed and condensed cities, but not so well in the suburbs or rural areas?

Reminds me of the O.J. case. A Washington State LEO friend was in L.A. working a serial killer investigation when he was arrested. The detectives working the case were upset; they were nowhere near ready. Strong evidence there was more than one person involved.
Zimmerman? Bet the Sanford P.D. were looking at Manslaughter, at best. When you have POTUS making a thinly disguised call for an arrest, then what?
Riots? Maybe we need some to get some shit settled, one way or another.
I say: go for it. Tear down more of the cities. They can use the improvements.

This cannot end well. If the jury convicts GZ, there will be those saying it was done out of intimidation or fear of reprisals. (me, for one) If he is acquitted, the balloon could really go up. After all, didn’t the onewhoshallnotbenamed say if he had a son he would have been like TM?
Remember that joint agreement between FEMA and their Russian counterpart? Maybe this is the ‘disaster event’ which will trigger a request for that crowd control assistance.
And wouldn’t that be a hoot? Little Russian dudes crawling around Florida in their concrete camos with Spetsnaz patches, armed with Makarovs?

Just saw this on CNN:
(Judge) Nelson said based on case law she will charge Zimmerman with manslaughter. Nelson is now asking if there are any objections the manslaughter jury instruction.
Seems they should have established all the charges at the outset. Seems like they see second degree is a flop and want to add something, anything, just to get a conviction. This isn’t right.
How can they change the charge when the trial is over?
AND the prosecution is saying Zimmerman should also be charged with third-degree felony murder.because Zimmerman committed the felony of child abuse that resulted in death!!!

The prosecution IS worried. They simply overcharged because of political motivation. They KNEW their case in chief was flawed and could yield doubt. But politics ruled.
Even a return of manslaughter and not murder will strike a match.
