What is the point in signing the petition?
1. America is not governed by petitions. We have elections and then those we elect do whatever they can get away with until the next election. There is no place in the constitution that talks about how a petition influences policy or law.
2. 75% of America didn’t want Obamacare and we got it anyway. Do you really think 76% on a petition would have been enough to stop it?
3. Obama’s insurance ALREADY complies with the law. His employer (you) pays for his plan IAW the Obamacare law.
4. With the exception of a few state that have referenda as part of their legislative process, petitions are noting more than fundraising scams to collect your contact information and the sort of things that get you steamed up enough to be a good candidate to donate money. None of that money will help your cause either, but it will help career politicians stay in office and it will pay career fundraisers a nice bonus around Christmas time.
