Question: how in the hell do you somehow manage to enflame a Chevrolet SS?

I love this comment:

Ricky Bobby had to be driving the pace car. #nascar  has a new slogan, “If it burns on Sunday, it won’t sell on Monday.”

Is that the actual definition of a “hot lap“?  And do pace car drivers need Nomex fire suits?
