This is, perhaps, the most important post I’ve made to date.
On any number of levels, from any number of GOWP sources, we are constantly barraged by the Leftist meme that violent Islamist individuals and groups who carry out bombings, killings, beheadings, spilling blood in the name of Islam, are the exception and not the rule.

I said a number of years ago and say now: “Islam IS as Islam DOES.” Nothing more complicated or cerebral than that. To excuse Islam from actions carried out in its name excuses over a thousand years of bloodshed and unnecessary deaths on behalf of a barbarous religion that is unmatched in its ferocity via any other religion on the planet.
Islam isn’t “gray” and it isn’t “nuanced” and it isn’t “subtle.” Islam will and does tell you precisely what it wants day after day after day. And we, the various Western nations, are not listening.
Worse yet, we are choosing not to listen.

An incredibly simplistic statement in and among itself, promulgated by Leftists.
Most lawful citizens of Western nations are good people. They want to believe in the inherent goodness of people. They want to see the proverbial glass as half full, as opposed to half empty. They want to believe that most issues can be solved with good will, communication, positive intent and low voices.
With the exception of Islam. Which has proven over the past thousand + years that it cannot be reasoned with, it cannot be corrupted, it cannot be subsumed, it cannot be modulated and it cannot be ignored.

It really is this simple: Islam is as Islam does.

Interesting the reactions of the panel to the question. Perhaps ’cause it is just a short clip but no one seemed to want to really answer the question. Except for Col. West. And when he did I noticed at about 1:56 as he talked about it not being a religion but a theo-political belief system how his neighbors arms withdrew from him and he seemed to have an empty zone around him. Maybe it’s just they wanted to lean back and listen better but it struck me oddly. Perhaps it is just me.
Anyway, he is so correct. And so knowledgeable. Very impressive.
And you accurately point out that islam cannot be subsumed. It is the one ‘religion’ which remains rooted in its past, true to its founding principles. It resists change, it represses any opposition. It does as it has always done. It doesn’t give a damn about world opinion or political correctness.
Despite the centuries of fighting islam and moslems, most European leaders have blinders on. But not all. The Czech President Zeman refused to Zeman apologize for his statements in which he linked Islamic ideology with violence. June 2014. Hungary 2012 : official recognition of Islam as a religion was rescinded (means no state support) and the country’s Christian heritage was explicitly affirmed in its constitution. Both politically incorrect. Both not giving a damn.
I’ve often wondered what the “nice” Jordanian couple I’ve broken bread with on several occasions are like in the privacy of their home or the company of their coreligionists.
