Having commented on my prior post, I ventured to their site and found it well designed, with an intriguing hook: it’s written by two brothers, named (L) and (P). (P) happens to be in a wheelchair; here is why. He took a long dive into shallow water; metaphorically, haven’t we all done so at least a few times in our lives?
As a matter of fact, they recommended me to their post about this following video regarding Islam:
And, of course, please visit each and every member of my rather selective and discriminating blogroll. You’ll find here, at the Bloviating Zeppelin, that my blogroll doesn’t scroll on and on and on. I place you because I actually read you and believe in you.
If the United States government were actually concerned about the recovery of the nation, it would do the most basic and limited of mathematical equations:
First: what is the population of the United States lawful citizens? Second: What is the amount of money available for these lawful citizens?
The population of the United States is 3.10 million people.
The various stimulus packages indicated $800 billion dollars +.
Which means that, in reality, each American family SHOULD receive $1 million dollars.
The Hartford, Connecticut City Council has decided on its own to begin each and every council meeting with Islamic prayers in sympathy with downtrodden and repressed Muslims everywhere because, after all, Islam in general has been such a progressive, understanding, tolerant, accepting and non-violent religion in its entire historical length.
The (Hartford City) Council announced Tuesday that it has invited local (Muslim) imams to perform Islamic invocations at the beginning of the Council meetings in September.
Though meetings don’t regularly begin with any form of prayer, an email from the Common Council called it “an act of solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters.”
The email even referenced the ongoing issue in New York. “One of the goals of the Council is to give a voice to the many diverse peoples of the City, which is especially important given the recent anti-Islam events throughout the country.”
Council President rJo Winch called it an important move for the Council. “I feel it is very important that, as a Council, we project a culture of inclusiveness in the City of Hartford. Too often it is our differences that divide us. In my opinion, it is our combination of differences that makes us strong,” Winch said.
Let me take one frigging guess: the makeup of the Hartford City Council is predominantly and massively liberal, with Leftist leanings despite the “letter” after their voting ticket. Not such an amazing leap to make.
I submit that these are predominantly ignorant, arrogant, isolated, insular and, truly, undereducated liberals. My guess is that none of them have a son or daughter involved in the military. My guess is that none of them have a son or daughter that is in law enforcement. Few if any of them have any “skin in the game” in terms of currently defending their country. If any have a “military” past it would be during a chunk of peacetime because — after all — they wouldn’t have been demanded to serve in combat.
When logic doesn’t work, when popularity doesn’t work, when control of the media doesn’t work, it’s time for Leftist Lover George Soros to get involved. Again.
You remember George — the money behind MoveOn.org [and we know how truth-telling and centrist that site is] — the speculator (and creator of nothing but his own personal wealth) who became known as “the Man Who Broke the Bank of England” after he made a reported $1 billion dollars during the 1992 Black WednesdayUK currency crisis. In 2007, the Quantum Fund, co-founded by Soros, returned almost 32%, netting Mr Soros $2.9 billion dollars.
Of course, because Mr Soros leans hard aport, making a financial slaughter, numerous times, is perfectly acceptable to the Left — while, at the same time, profits made by petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and other companies is horrendous — so their profits must be taxed geometrically, and their executive staff and CEO salaries reduced markedly.
Soros and the foundation left have launched a website designed to go after the growing Tea Party movement. Teapartytracker.org will post video interviews and blog entries gathered by folks on the false left who never grow weary of demonstrating their outrage over the very idea of a grassroots political effort overthrowing establishment Democrats and Republicans in the district of corporate criminals.
Teapartytracker.org will be sponsored by the NAACP, Think Progress, New Left Media and Media Matters for America. Think Progress is a George Soros operation connected to John Podesta’s Center for American Progress. Podesta is Clinton’s former chief of staff. Media Matters for America is the brainchild of a MoveOn consultant and Podesta’s Center for American Progress. Soros is a major supporter of MoveOn.
The denigration of TEA Parties and their attendees has occurred from the beginning, as Leftists and Demorats realized the message was being broadcast in the clear: government spends too damned much, taxes too much, and refuses to cut spending.
It’s rather inconvenient, then, when blacks happen to embrace the TEA Party. It’s rather inconvenient when blacks repudiate, in a press conference (purposely not widely covered by the MSM/DEM) that the various TEA Parties are populated by racists:
Glance, for example, at the Huffington Post which resolutely gushes over Mr Obama’s Labor Day speech in Ohio. As far as the commenters are concerned, Mr Obama is Back On His Game and boy, the lousy Republicans better get ready for a Serious Ass Kicking:
– This man is a master! Republicans must be quaking in their cowboy boot! – YES, WE CAN – YES, WE WILL – YES, WE DO! – Now that’s what I’m talking about! Let’s do this Mr. Prez!!! He’s got the fire in his eyes. Eye of the tiger!! – You go President Obama! We are ready to roll with you. We are all fired up!!! – I like this, this should be our chant for healthcare- FIRED UP!!!!! cause I’m fed up! – This is gonna freak out the repucks, they know he is getting us FIRED UP. Hang on, this is gonna get really nasty! – This man could be THE most popular president in U.S. history if manages to give us a National Health Care Program. We would adore him for it as would succeeding generations! – Who is going to the March for the Public Option in DC next Sunday, Sept. 13th??? Anyone? The vote in the Finance subcommittee will be by or before the 15th…we need them to see the masses and hear our voices! I’m there!
And, of course, Leftist tolerance and acceptance:
– Finally a little more Teddy and a little less Lincoln about time!! Just shove this Bill down the throats of those right extremist and don’t stop till comes out the other end.
The Demorats say they are energized.
They control the Media.
They control the House and Senate (since 2006) and the White House.
They are raising cash at prodigious rates.
They are setting the public scenario and talking points in terms of Racist TEA Partiers.
What can we do to combat this onslaught?
Are Conservatives ready to continue to commit right up to November and, more importantly, beyond?
We’ve been told in Fornicalia that everything is changing, and that our forte now is as a “service economy.”
With one major exception: service economies don’t grow the national economy, and they don’t stabilize a nation, and they don’t place or keep a nation strong.
A strong nation actually builds and produces things that other economies — and nations — need, such as aircraft, steel, cars, clothing, ships, trucks, fabrication, food, appliances, electronics, etc.
Many of these things we simply do not manufacture or create any more in the United States. But that’s deserving of a blogpost for another time, is it not?
Whenever companies start hiring freely again, job-seekers with specialized skills and education will have plenty of good opportunities. Others will face a choice: Take a job with low pay — or none at all.
Job creation will likely remain weak for months or even years. But once employers do step up hiring, some economists expect job openings to fall mainly into two categories of roughly equal numbers:
• Professional fields with higher pay. Think lawyers, research scientists and software engineers.
• Lower-skill and lower-paying jobs, like home health care aides and store clerks.
And those in between? Their outlook is bleaker. Economists foresee fewer moderately paid factory supervisors, postal workers and office administrators.
To this point, as having been the “recipients” of Wonder Solutions such as TARP, various stimulus packages and ObakaKare — to the tune of, now, vast billions and billions of dollars that we do not possess [with the national debt at $13 trillion — and growing] — the US is still in the grip of a struggling economy, larger unemployment figures and the largest tax hike in history coming January 1st of 2011.
As if that will help the economy . . . so let’s just kill spending altogether, shall we?
Remember what Mr Obama said during his campaign for president:
The Bush tax cuts – people didn’t need them, and they weren’t even asking for them, and that’s why they need to be less, so that we can pay for universal health care and other initiatives.”
2007 Democratic Primary Debate at Howard University Jun 28, 2007.
“Government does not have a revenue problem; government has a spending problem.“ -Marsha Blackburn
But there’s a portion of the working sector that AP has missed, jobs that will always need to exist:
– Doctors, nurses, skilled nursing staff, welders, fabricators, mechanics, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians — in other words, skilled people who know how to keep what we have operating.
At stake nationally is the balance of power in Washington, the tone for the remainder of Obama’s first term and his likely 2012 re-election bid. All 435 House seats as well as 37 Senate seats are on the ballot. The country also will elect 37 governors in races that will determine who oversees the once-a-decade redrawing of political districts.
