“Happy Hour” debate: Fiorina #1, Perry #2

In my opinion, Carly Fiorina “won” the JV “Happy Hour” debate on Fox News, with former Governor Rick Perry in a close second position.

There is no denying that Fiorina thinks quickly on her feet, replies with complete and cogent sentences, and is thoughtful in her remarks.  She speaks with confidence and utilizes facts when applicable.  She is sharp, classy and dare I say, presidential in demeanor.

Carly Fiorina can be the confidence and the truth of a Trump, but without the huffery-puffery and bombastic rhetoric.  This may have changed her course in the nomination process.

But: can she actually win?

Trump: a NASCAR crash?

Donald Trump GrimacingPeople are hypothesizing that tonight’s first GOP debate which includes Donald Trump will be one of the most, if not the most watched presidential debate.

I submit it is for the same reason people watch football or hockey or even a NASCAR race: we want to see if there’s a collision coming.

And oh yes, trust me, people are counting or hoping that Trump helps create the crash or is somehow involved himself — and how many others will be peripherally involved.

Right now, the so-called “Happy Hour” GOP debate is occurring, wherein those persons who didn’t make the Top 10 GOP Debate cutoff are featured, to include Perry, Fiorina, Jindal, Pataki, Gilmore, Santorum and Graham.

In my opinion, Pataki, Gilmore, Santorum and Graham don’t belong in any of the debates.  They aren’t ready for the job or they are barely borderline conservatives.  And we certainly don’t need anyone in the presidency who looks and sounds like Porky the Pig.

Overall, Fiorina and Perry have been doing well.  Fiorina has the gift of extemporaneous speech and thinks well on her feet.

Are you expecting a car crash during this debate, the first GOP event?

Why the GOP no longer matters

American VotersWhy?

Because there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between the Old Staid GOP and the Demorats.

The ancient and staid GOP wants what it wants when it wants it.  They want their watering holes in DC, they want their limousines, they want their grand offices, they demand the deference of “lessers”, they want the Proles and Groundlings and Serfs to declare their subservience.  Heel and boot-licking.

STFU PhasersAnd they want true Conservatives to sup from the cup of Shut The Fuck Up.

Actual Conservatives ruin the play.  They spill their alcohol, they break the Legos, they kick out the Lincoln Logs, they dare to question.  They dare to even configure questions.

Republicans place the actual Conservatives into small offices, they take them out of committees, they refuse to see them, speak to them, acknowledge them.

Except that a few of them, to the tune of Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, seem to have lives that are not unlike digital games.  As in: they go on and on.  Like a bad battery monkey.

Monkey-CymbalsEven Donald Trump throws a massive monkey wrench into the GOP engine.  It’s not appreciated.

Who did the GOP throw up against Barack Hussein Obama?  Oh, right, the greatest RINO ever: John McCain.  And an ignorant dupe: Sarah Palin.  She’s about as intelligent as a hubcap.

Who did the GOP throw up next?  Oh, right, Mitt Romney.  The guy who wasn’t even convinced that he should run.  Just ask his son, Tad.

The current GOP “leadership” leads about as effectively as a band of cystic nematodes.  To include John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.

GOP RINOs Voting For Illegal AmnestyWelcome back, GOP RINOs.

Let me make myself clear.  Battle lines need to be drawn.  There is no more room for “moderation” or ‘bipartisanship” or any of the other bullshit words and phrases crafted by both sides of the aisle.

I am 64 years of age.  My best years are “behind me” according to Leftists.  I am the one to whom no one should apply any amount of the healing arts.

And with that I say: I have spent those years preparing for what is coming, because I was sufficiently aware to recognize a bit of the future.  I have precious metals, I have precious metal launchers, I have food, I have water, I have a mindset.

And if I don’t support or vote for the GOP piece of shite that the Leftists have pushed upon us, I quite couldn’t care less.  Because, finally, I have mine.

Hillary About YouAnd Hillary gives hers.

For the rest of you, you’d best be prepared to be cast aside.

Republicans Move to Save Obamacare Subsidies if Supreme Court Eliminates Them

WASHINGTON (AP) — Congressional Republicans will move to temporarily continue health care subsidies for millions of people if the Supreme Court overturns the aid, according to plans discussed in the House and Senate Wednesday.

Republicans on both sides of the Capitol met privately to discuss how to respond to the politically explosive ruling that’s expected in the next two weeks and could result in some 7 million people losing subsidies to buy coverage under President Barack Obama’s contested health care law.

Good to know, eh wot?

Getting “Pelosi’d” by the GOP?

Remember old San Fran Nan and her quote about ObamaKare: “But we have to pass the [health care] bill so that you can find out what’s in it”?

It would appear the GOP is doing the same thing.

Nancy Ryan ObamaTradeTake it away Paul Ryan:

From Breitbart.com:

Paul Ryan’s Pelosi-Esque Obamatrade Moment: ‘It’s Declassified And Made Public Once It’s Agreed To’

by Matthew Boyle

Chief Obamatrade proponent House Ways and Means Committee chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) admitted during Congressional testimony on Wednesday evening that despite tons of claims from him and other Obamatrade supporters to the contrary, the process is highly secretive.

He also made a gaffe in his House Rules Committee testimony on par with former Speaker

Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) push to pass Obamacare, in which she said infamously said: “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”

“It’s declassified and made public once it’s agreed to,” Ryan said of Obamatrade in Rules Committee testimony on Wednesday during questioning from Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX).

What Ryan is trying to convince House Republicans to do is vote for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) which would fast-track at least three highly secretive trade deals—specifically the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), the Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA), and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP)—and potentially more deals.

Right now, TiSA and T-TIP text are completely secretive and unavailable for even members of Congress to read while TPP text is available for members to review—although they need to go to a secret room inside the Capitol where only members of Congress and certain staffers high-level security clearances, who can only go when members are present, can read the bill.

Why is it that, more so these days, so much of government business has to be conducted in a clandestine fashion?

Am I the only one who finds this turn of events disturbing?
