U.S. health insurer Anthem hit by massive cybersecurity breach

By Supriya Kurane and Jim Finkle

(Reuters) – Health insurer Anthem Inc , which has nearly 40 million U.S. customers, said late on Wednesday that hackers had breached one of its IT systems and stolen personal information relating to current and former consumers and employees.

The No. 2 health insurer in the United States said the breach did not appear to involve medical information or financial details such as credit card or bank account numbers.

The information accessed during the “very sophisticated attack” did include names, birthdays, social security numbers, street addresses, email addresses and employment information, including income data, the company said.

The breach “did not appear” — appear — to include your medical information, financial details or credit card or bank account numbers.  Because Obamacare doesn’t require any of these things be collected and shuttled over to medical providers.  Of course not.  Oh, wait.  Except: those are the first things Obamacare requires.  Right.  I trust my government.  Bridge?  Brooklyn?

Thank you ever so kindly, Mr Obama, and US Congress, for passing Obamacare in the middle of the night on a purely 100% partisan — read: Demorat — vote, destroying what was left of the American healthcare system and laying important groundwork for what everyone knew was coming: a series of massive hacks by criminal elements seeking your personal information in order to create chaos and rip off millions.

Anyone with a whit of common sense knows that what can be digitized, can be hacked.  Now, all of your information — and I mean all of it, personal as well as medical– is what Obamacare mandates be placed directly over the internet and into the systems of healthcare organizations all over the nation.

Making it ever so tempting for hackers to steal your life.

DC said: “no way.  Just shut up and take your medicine.”

Hackers said: the greatest target-rich environment ever.

Thanks, Mr Obama.

Lies and more lies about Jonathan Gruber: the US government’s $6 million dollar man

Pelosi's LIES Regarding Jon GruberJonathan Gruber was paid, by the US government, over a number of years, by various US departments, $6 million dollars for his consultation services.

If they didn’t value him, they wouldn’t have paid him again and again and again.  He must have provided a valuable service or he wouldn’t have been hired multiple times by your federal government.  Meaning: his fees were paid by your tax dollars.

When they wanted him, Leftists and the Demorats loved him.  When he broke ranks and actually told the truth, they hated him.

The problem: Gruber dared to reveal the truth.  And the Demorats lied again and again.

Here is GruberGate in a mere two minutes:

It does matter.  And Gruber is the gift that keeps on giving.  I say: thank God for YouTube.

I also say: thank God for immured videos regarding Mr Obama and ObamaCare.

Obama’s Car Czar Steve Rattner says Gruber was the “go to” guy on ObamaCare.

Mr Obama, in an attempt to distance himself from the scandal, said Jon Gruber was never on the ObamaCare staff and that Jon Gruber lies.

Then, back in 2006, thanks to YouTube once again, Mr Obama speaks about his admiration for Mr Gruber:

Obama, in my opinion, lies because he’s done so all his life and so few have called him on it.  As a matter of fact, lying has gotten him to the presidency.  He cannot not lie.  He hasn’t the capability.

Not precisely so Nancy Pelosi who, I believe, is physically laboring under the onset of dementia.  She adamantly insists she has no idea who Jon Gruber is.  “Let’s put him aside.”  Right.  No lies to be seen here at all.  Move on.  I’m, as Dennis Miller says, “bat shit crazy.”

Except that she does know him, and she is lying.  This video proves it:

“I don’t know if you have seen Jonathan Gruber’s analysis.”

And now, amnesty for millions of illegal invaders by Executive Fiat, via the stroke of Mr Obama’s Imperial Pen.

Just who’s alternate reality is this?

The truth finally out: ObamaCare purposely crafted as opaque, confusing, for the “stupid American voter”

ObamaCare architect says lack of transparency helped law pass, cites ‘stupidity of the American voter’

by Patrick Howley

ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber said that lack of transparency was a major part of getting ObamaCare passed, and that it was written in such a way as to take advantage of “the stupidity of the American voter.”

Gruber, the MIT professor who served as a technical consultant to the Obama administration during ObamaCare’s design, also made clear during a panel quietly captured on video that the individual mandate, which was only upheld by the Supreme Court because it was a tax, was not actually a tax.

So first, thanks to Justice John Roberts for his scintillating take on ObakaKare and the fix we’re in.  The ACA was created to fool you — and you were the perfect SCOTUS patsy.  Nifty work, John.  Yay, John.  You blinked then bit.

Nicely done, Mr Gruber.

Let’s just lie to the people, kick them in the ass, call them stupid and then turn their pockets inside out.

Yay, federal government!  Yay, Demorats!

Let’s not forget:

This is also the same Gruber who said in January that Obamacare wasn’t designed to save money, even calling the idea that savings were a “misleading motivator” for Obamacare. This was after he very actively promoted the deficit-reducing side of the law before it was adopted and called Obamacare “a historic and cost-effective step in the right direction” toward saving our health-care cost problems. He’s also the guy whose work was used to create the appearance of a consensus among health economists about the ACA, without revealing that he was a paid contractor.

Then, from Bloomberg.com:

Meet the Mild-Mannered Investment Advisor Who’s Humiliating the Administration Over Obamacare

by David Weigel

A “nobody” named Rich Weinstein keeps digging up damaging clips about the ACA.

Rich Weinstein is not a reporter. He does not have a blog. Until this week, the fortysomething’s five-year old Twitter account had a follower count in the low double digits.

“I’m an investment advisor,” Weinstein tells me from his home near Philadelphia. “I’m a nobody. I’m the guy who lives in his mom’s basement wearing a tinfoil hat.” (He’s joking about the mom and the tinfoil.)

He’s also behind a series of scoops that could convince the Supreme Court to dismantle part of the Affordable Care Act. Weinstein has absorbed hours upon hours of interviews with Jonathan Gruber, an MIT professor who advised the Massachusetts legislature when it created “Romneycare” and the Congress when it created “Obamacare.” Conservatives had been looking for ways to demonstrate that the wording of the ACA denied insurance subsidies to consumers in states that did not create their own health exchanges. Weinstein found a clip of Gruber suggesting that states that did not create health insurance exchanges risked giving up the ACA’s subsidies; it went straight into the King v. Burwell brief, and into a case that’s currently headed to the Supreme Court.

The first question coming to my mind: why is it that a man named Weinstein is uncovering this information instead of an inquisitive media?  The Demorats accused George Bush of having an incurious mind.  I would accuse the American Media Maggots of the same, although for a longer period of time and with extreme selectivity.

The ACA and the people behind it are a dissembling, disgusting, timorous, shameful, cynical lot.

It’s all a scam, a fleecing, a purposeful lie, a purposeful deceit.

But it’s out now.

And not only is the Emperor naked, but he is flaccid and vacuous and, well, I’m starting to run out of appropriate verbs.
