“Cortez The Killer”

He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun.

On the shore lay Montezuma
With his coca leaves and pearls
In his halls he often wondered
With the secrets of the worlds.

And his subjects
gathered ’round him
Like the leaves around a tree
In their clothes of many colors
For the angry gods to see.

And the women all were beautiful
And the men stood
straight and strong
They offered life in sacrifice
So that others could go on.

Hate was just a legend
And war was never known
The people worked together
And they lifted many stones.

They carried them
to the flatlands
And they died along the way
But they built up
with their bare hands
What we still can’t do today.

And I know she’s living there
And she loves me to this day
I still can’t remember when
Or how I lost my way.

He came dancing across the water
Cortez, Cortez
What a killer.

P.P.S.
Let us not forget why Mexico speaks Spanish these days and not any number of brutal Indian or Incan or Mayan or Aztec tongues: because it was conquered by Spain.

Neil Young’s biomass-powered $1 million dollar car breaks down

[Sorry. Had to take a break from Syria just now. –BZ]

Neil Young's 1959 Hybrid, Right SideDon’t get me wrong.  I really love most of Neil Young’s songs.

That said, Young can be an ignorant Leftist Tool, and here is another example.

From the Washington Free Beacon:

Neil Young’s Electric Car Breaks Down, Left ‘Helpless’ on California Highway

BY:

Neil Young, a high-profile proponent of cars powered by alternative fuels, was recently stranded on the highway when his own $1 million biomass-powered hybrid car broke down.

California highway patrol officers found the Canadian rocker stranded on the side of a road near Donner Summit, Calif.

So Neil Young drove right by my cabin today in his ancient biomass vehicle, then was rescued by Truckee CHP officers.  That must have been both ironic and unpleasant: a Leftist “saved” by authority figures he despises.  And you know those CHP STOs (state traffic officers) were laughing their asses off later.  Guaranteed.

His one million dollar biomass vehicle.

Apparently, sometimes you don’t get quite what you pay for.

Truly, stuff like this simply makes me smile at the idiocy of the Left.

Sorry Neil.  This is some funny shite.  Still like much of your music, though.
