Texas cop assassinated, shot in head from behind

Harris Co Sheriff TX KilledFrom the Associated Press:

Deputy ambushed, fatally shot at gas station near Houston

by Juan Lozano, AP

HOUSTON (AP) — The search for the suspect in the death of a uniformed sheriff’s deputy who was shot several times while filling up his patrol car at a suburban Houston gas station continued Saturday morning, authorities said.

Deputy Darren Goforth, 47, was pumping gas about 8:30 p.m. Friday when a man approached him from behind and fired multiple shots, Harris County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ryan Sullivan told The Associated Press.

Goforth was a 10-year veteran of the force, had a wife and two children, according to Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman.

Simply said, the suspect walked up behind the deputy who had just finished pumping gas in a station, shot him in the head and then shot him as he lay dying on the ground.

Question: is this a black suspect?  Is this a white suspect?  There is yet no information about the ethnicity of the suspect himself.  The frame above is certainly not accurate visual information; it only provides a brief overview.

News, as of this writing, indicates there may be a suspect in custody.  This has not yet been fully confirmed.

These are tough times to be a cop.  I know, I’m a cop.  Yes, I retired two months ago after forty-one years in law enforcement.  Most cops do their 20 and leave.  I did over twice the time  That’s how much I enjoyed my job and wanted to serve.  But even though I retired, I’m still a cop inside and out.  My being a Sheepdog, a Silverback, doesn’t just stop at midnight on one specific day.  It doesn’t work that way.

If a black suspect is involved, I’m sure Cornell West will call the situation another “love deficit” as he did with the BGM killing.

Deputy Goforth is now one of 23 law enforcement officers killed this year.

My thoughts and prayers to the Goforth family, friends and relatives, the Harris County Sheriff family, and all of us in law enforcement family.

We could use the help.

Police Protesters Desecrate Fallen Officer Memorial

Those who know me and have followed me for a time know that I am a law enforcement officer who has been working in LE since the 70s.  That’s a damned long time; longer than I’d thought about for quite a while.

I have worked for the feds, for the FBI and the US Marshals.  I have worked for another Fornicalia county as a deputy sheriff and for my current major Fornicalia sheriff’s department for over 35 years now.  I am currently a Sergeant for a major 2,000+ department and have been its Rangemaster and EVOC Supervisor.  I have worked for many years in Patrol and Detectives, in Theft, Child Abuse, Warrants, Robbery and Homicide.

With all that in mind, I proffer this story for you all:

Police Protesters Desecrate Fallen Officer Memorial

by Kayleigh McEnany

In an astonishing display of disrespect, police protesters defiled a fallen officer memorial in Denver, Colorado on Saturday, covering it in fake blood.

Fuck the PoliceAs if this bloody, distasteful symbol was not enough, one protester knelt down and shot a bird in front of the memorial, an image the activist group “Anonymous” opted to tweet out to it’s 1.45 million followers.

Denver police officers watched helplessly, choosing to honorably obey the instruction from their superiors to stand down. Forced to watch the protesters they were there to protect desecrate their fallen brothers and sisters, the officers reportedly had tears in their eyes in the aftermath.

Meanwhile, “Anonymous” cheered the protesters on on social media, sending this insensitive tweet in response to the officers’ tears.

Let me repeat, at the risk of being redundant: their “superiors told them to stand down.”

As in: the Denver PD administration, via their Chief of Police.  Only the COP could make that call.

The Denver Chief of Police is a man named Robert C. White.  And that order came down from nowhere other than his office.  No underlings could make that official call and get away with it.

Denver PD MemorialHere is your police memorial, Chief Robert C. White.  I hope you’re happy.  You not only do law enforcement a disservice, you hock phlegm on the graves of those officers who have laid down their lives before you.

You make me sick.

Ironically, on a date meant to commemorate love, these protesters opted to spew vitriolic hate. The protesters for “justice” insolently covered the names of heroes and peacemakers like Officer Celena Hollis, a 32-year-old cop who was shot in the head while trying to break up a fight at a jazz festival in 2012. Officer Hollis’ murderer received a maximum 26-year sentence as a result of a plea bargain. Officer Hollis received no justice.

A black female, one of the most extolled of “victims” extant in Leftist philosophy, was kicked aside because she was a Aunt Tom in the eyes of the protesters, because she dared to become a cop and a sheepdog instead of a sheep.

Chief White, you’re a lapdog for Leftists.  And to let a police officer memorial be desecrated because of your political bent?

You don’t deserve to wear your badge.

And this, sir, from someone who has worked much longer than you in law enforcement.

No 1983 Action for Officer Wilson, per DOJ

Darren WilsonThe residents of Ferguson, Missouri won’t be be terribly pleased.

From the NYTimes.com:

Justice Dept. to Recommend No Civil Rights Charges in Ferguson Shooting

by Matt Apuzzo & Michael S. Schmidt

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department has begun work on a legal memo recommending no civil rights charges against a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo., who killed an unarmed black teenager in August, law enforcement officials said.

That would close the politically charged case in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. The investigation by the F.B.I., which is complete, found no evidence to support civil rights charges against the officer, Darren Wilson, the officials said.

This therefore lends much credence to the chronology of events as portrayed by ex-Ferguson Police Department Officer Darren Wilson, who indicated that suspect Michael Brown did in fact attempt to disarm him and did in fact strike him, requiring the application of force which, in that case, was Officer Wilson’s sidearm.

Think about this: ex-Officer Wilson was forced to resign and he and his family subject to death threats locally and nationally, despite his actions being upheld in two separate legal venues: the Grand Jury failed to indict, and the US Department of Justice will fail to charge.

Officer Wilson’s actions were scrutinized for months by, literally, hundreds of persons, one sitting jury and the US DOJ.  He was exonerated in both instances and still his professional and likely his private life was destroyed.

For responding properly to a threat.

Don’t think for a moment there wasn’t great pressure on the DOJ to find something, anything on Darren Wilson, with said pressure coming directly from the Oval Office and the Racial Pimps, NYC and DC chapters.

On a professional and clinical level, justice was done.

On a personal level, one good man’s life was changed forever.
