Revealed: Obama to collect record taxes in 2013

TAXES GraphicFrom the WashingtonExaminer.com:

The federal Treasury expects to collect a record $2.712 trillion in taxes on Americans and U.S. business this year, shattering the 2007 high of $2.5 trillion in taxes.

Despite the sputtering economy and sustained high unemployment, the fine print in President Obama’s budget belatedly presented Wednesday revealed that the administration expects to take more in taxes than the Congressional Budget Office projects. CBO put the 2013 estimate at $2.708 trillion.

But wait; weren’t and aren’t we consistently told by Mr Obama that we need to pay more taxes because — well — we are simply undertaxed, one and all?  Don’t more of us have to step up to the plate in order to keep a morsel of food in the mouths of starving American children?

That said, how can it be that we are set to collect more taxes for this country than in its entire history?

Somehow, those two concepts simply don’t equate.  They don’t make sense.  They are, shall we say, incongruent.

On any number of levels.

First, let me pull out some basic stops.  There is an American Myth of “starving children.”  I call bullshit.  There are no “starving children” in this nation.  Instead, there are obese children and their equally obese parents or, in the case of many, parent (singular).  I don’t see Biafran-like children skelled over on the sidewalks of our cities.  I don’t see the skeletons of  starved infants splayed across the venues of our American Media Maggots because — if there WERE — you would see such a thing heralded and trumpeted not just for weeks but for months on the DEM/AMM channels ad nauseum.

This trumpeting doesn’t occur because the situation doesn’t exist.

The so-called “poor” in this nation drive a Lexus, possess an EBT card which yields lobster.  Check the receipt below.

Food Stamp ReceiptThey have their housing subsidized, their healthcare subsidized, their furniture subsidized, their children subsidized, possess a smartphone, a flatscreen TV, the internet subsidized, free schooling, free breakfasts, lunches and dinners for their children, free transportation, and free higher education.  And they don’t quite have to work if they feel diffident about it.

They possess sufficient time to war upon themselves, copulate readily and produce banks of children at will who become abandoned to the state when convenient, are responsible for nothing, are considered an entirely victimized class, are soothed and coddled and expected to produce or support nothing.

They, literally, have no expectations whatsoever placed upon them save that of the unresolved victim class.  They have their Victimhood hammered into their heads at all levels and for many years.

They are a Permanent Underclass and raped by the Leftists and Demorats who purposely support their ignorant, arrogant and barbaric ways.  These denizens have their ruffled fur smoothed, licked, groomed, and their ticks eliminated by the Taxpayers of our nation.  And they get testy when their fur isn’t sufficiently clean in a remarkably small amount of time.

But isn’t it odd that this seeming “underclass” possesses material goods and objects of a much higher level than I possess as an American Taxpayer?

And yet, Mr Obama and his minions are shouting to the treetops that we need — we must — make the minimum wage a “living wage.”

Because, after all, the ignorant tattooed and pierced shite who presses the CHEESEBURGER icon at McDonalds should and must make as much money as an entry-level firefighter, say.

In an “equal world,” after all.

It’s starting: “So Long, Yankees! China And Brazil Ditch US Dollar In Trade Deal Before BRICS Summit”

Killing The DollarFrom InternationalBusinessTimes.com:

China and Brazil agreed to trade in each other’s currencies just hours ahead of the BRICS summit in South Africa.

The deal, which extends over a three-year period and amounts to an exchange of about $30 billion in trade per year, marks the latest effort among two of the world’s largest emerging economies to shift the dynamics of international trade that have long favored the U.S. dollar.

“Our interest is not to establish new relations with China, but to expand relations to be used in the case of turbulence in financial markets,” Brazilian Central Bank Governor Alexandre Tombini said, Reuters reported.

The financial markets, globally, are beginning the process of change.

I don’t think the US will much care for this change.

It’s starting in Cyprus.  Migrating to Italy and Spain.  And now updated with the creation of the BRICS bank — a consortium of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Leaders of the five BRICS nations plan to create a development bank in a direct challenge to the World Bank that they accuse of Western bias.

And there you have it.  “Western bias.”  You can rest assured Mr Obama will do nothing.  He will be “concerned” and “monitoring.”

Leftists will want to tax more and continue spending, printing more money.  We are our own worst enemy and now — our enemies are taking overt fiscal steps against us.

Cyprus completely closes its banks

Cyprus ATM Bank RunWhy?

Because, as I wrote here on Sunday, Cyprus is dancing at the end of fiscal strings pulled by the EU.  Today, according to Reuters:

(Reuters) – Banks in Cyprus will be shut on Tuesday and Wednesday pending a decision by parliament to approve a levy on bank depositors, a government source told Reuters.

Cyprus taxpayers began making ATM runs when they learned their savings accounts were to be raided by the government to the tune of roughly 10%.

As a result today, Monday, the Euro has tumbled and our DOW was shaky.  Not unforseeable.

The FinancialTimes.com indicates:

Europe is risking a bank run

Wolfgang Munchau By Wolfgang Münchau

Creditor nations will now insist bank rescues must be co-funded by depositors

Oh goodie.  It’s insufficient that the taxpayers of the affected countries are bent over once; it’s now thought to be a good idea that their individual and personal bank accounts are raided due to mismanagement of their governments.

YahooFinance opined:

LONDON (Reuters) – The surprise decision by euro zone leaders to part-fund a bailout of Cyprus by taxing bank deposits sent shockwaves through financial markets on Monday, with shares and the bonds of struggling euro zone governments tumbling.

The bloc struck a deal on Saturday to hand Cyprus rescue loans worth 10 billion euros ($13 billion), but defied warnings – including from the European Central Bank – and imposed a levy that would see those with cash in the island’s banks lose between 6.75 and 9.9 percent of their money.

People are theorizing: is Italy next — to the tune of 15%?

Let me get back to a fundamental building block of finance: a given country’s monetary unit is worth precisely what people think it is.  Money is no longer backed by gold but by emotion.

These are very emotional times, and the wholesale raiding of the accounts of taxpayers is emotive in the extreme.

It is not impossible for bank runs to go viral across Europe, and for those emotions to cross the Atlantic.

Again, incompetent governments turning their taxpaying citizens upside down, pulling their pockets inside-out, and then smacking them in the backs of their heads.

“Silly,” you say.  “It can’t happen here.”

P.S.
And don’t think that Mr Obama isn’t salivating at the thought of doing this in the United States, just on general principles.

Too low, too slow, too heavy

Much like the American economy.

Crash at 2:44
This is unprecedented footage of a small airplane crash from inside the cockpit from two different views. Miraculously, everyone survived. The pilot will make a full recovery and the rest of us escaped with superficial injuries and feel very lucky to be alive . This trip was much anticipated and due to our excitement we had our Gopro cameras filming at various times. After flying up into the mountains for a morning hike in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness we were planning on flying to a small mountain town for dinner. Due to warming temperatures there was an increase in density altitude and we had a hard time getting adequate lift. The cameras were left on for a couple of hours during the aftermath. Thank you to all the many individuals who eventually came to our aid and took the time and effort to help in any way they could. We appreciate you more than you know.

Likely suspects: older plane, unknown maintenance, altitude (thinner air), possibly coupled with temperature (was it a hot day?).  A small plane like that, at that altitude and temperature is susceptible and sensitive to weight.  A full passenger compartment (FOUR people and equipment!) means it’s overweight.  You can clearly tell, by the length of time required to lift off, coupled with the poor climb-out, that the aircraft was in serious trouble early on.

This crash was foreseeable.

So is the coming fiscal crash.

Boehner’s Plan B

Kabuki TheatreJohn Boehner is going to get the GOP to violate their pledge to not raise taxes, via his Plan B.  The DEM/MSM is already portraying Beoehner as having “conceded” on Wednesday.

Boehner will let the Demorats have their way, and then call it a victory.  I quantify it via one word only: capitulation.

George HW Bush broke his word to the taxpayers in 1988, in re “read my lips: no new taxes.”  And it ended his tenure.  Bang.

Yes, the Republicans cannot block tax increases.  But apparently they may sign off on Obama’s will to cut another $100 BILLION dollars from defense.  That is insanity personified — if for no other reason than because of the profligate manner in which Obama himself is applying our American military in numerous theaters around the planet.

And none — none — of the Republicans apparently have the huevos to publicly stand against Boehner and stand on a refusal to increase taxes.  With a singular exception: I listened to Marco Rubio speak on Hannity’s show indicating so.

Hugh Hewitt and his callers excoriated Plan B.  He wrote on Wednesday:

Plan B raises taxes.

A yes vote on Plan B violates the pledge many if not all GOP candidates took, and convoiuted logic won’t change that and Grover’s pardon won’t matter.

After the routine violations of the “Pledge to America” of 2010, GOP credibility is in tatters.

MSM will begin every story on taxes for the next two years with “The GOP once before broke its pledge not to raise taxes, so…”

Plan B cuts defense by $100 billion.

Plan B won’t pass the Senate.

So why exactly did this get pushed forward, without consultation with the Senate leadership and without any chance for the GOP base to weigh in?  At what point does GOP leadership figure out the “representative” part of their job?

This is a huge, indeed potentially catastrophic mistake, and the Speaker ought to withdraw the plan and send everyone home with a vow to make any tax cuts in the new year retroactive.  We will go over the president’s cliff, but the GOP will have some credibility left and may yet remember that the party of Reagan defends the military that defends us and, crucially, doesn’t raise taxes.

Thank you Hugh.  Precisely.

The Fed has already said it will print a TRILLION dollars next year.  Inflation is going to hit, in 2013, in a way and manner that harkens back to 1980 — where I was paying 12% for a home loan with a minimum of 20% down, and vehicle loans hovered around 20% to 25% or more.  Or worse.  Much worse.

Recognize this: HALF of the people in the US don’t have a mortgage, so the elimination of the mortgage deduction means nothing to the bulk of the Free Cheese electorate.  But what might you then conclude about the already-poor health of the housing market if this deduction is eliminated?

Boehner is not taking this crisis seriously.  Obama is not taking this crisis seriously.  No one in Congress is taking this crisis seriously.

Let me state things as bluntly as possible: these assholes have no skin in the game and play, cavalierly, with your “skin.”  That is because Congress does and has historically exempted itself from the bulk of the bills it passes — plus —  by the time each individual has reached DC they have a sufficient layer of fiscal scams and insularity as to guarantee their continued profit but upon retirement.  There is always another high-paying job awaiting for Congress Critters because that is their nature and their history and their linkage.

Congress simply has no skin in the game.  And they are not held to answer save “censure” or harsh language or perhaps a bit of sarcasm or temporary embarrassment via some red cheeks.

This is generational theft.  This is immoral.  It borders on actual evil because it is planned and plotted and designed and calculated to the Nth degree.

Make no mistake: on both sides of the aisle.

It’s all Kabuki Theater at this point.
