California wants a law about “fake news”

And no, I am not kidding.

As California’s debt explodes, businesses flee, illegals drain and trash the state and are encouraged to vote illegally, as San Francisco is turned into a piss-and-shite-filled excrement dump and Los Angeles borders on bankruptcy due to its policies and the lawsuits filed against it (wait, I thought LA was Leftist Central and violated no one’s rights), Sacramento decides that this issue demands its immediate and pointed focus.

From the Guardian.com:

California lawmakers propose bills to teach students to identify ‘fake news’

by Alan Yuhas in San Francisco

The bills aim to teach high school students how to detect misleading, fabricated or inaccurate reports in the wake of the 2016 US election

Two California lawmakers have proposed bills to fight “fake news” by teaching high school students how to detect misleading, fabricated or inaccurate reports in the waves of information flooding into their daily lives.

“The rise of fake and misleading news is deeply concerning,” Dodd said in a statement. “Even more concerning is the lack of education provided to ensure people can distinguish what is fact and what’s not.”

“By giving students the proper tools to analyze the media they consume, we can empower them to make informed decisions,” he added.

But wait; let’s hearken back to this incredibly insightful and correct quote by Josef Stalin.

Because, after all, who determines an election? Who decides whom is insane? Who decides what is fake news?

Tessa Jolls, president of the nonprofit and nonpartisan Center for Media Literacy, said that such measures were long overdue. “Now that powers have shifted, with citizens as producers [of information], people are suddenly saying, ‘Oh wow, this is something we need.’”

Well just hold on there, cowgirl. Perhaps you ought to go back and evaluate the origin of “fake news,” why and when the meme was created. And who determines “fake news.”

“Fake news” didn’t exist when NBC, ABC, CBS and other “mainstream media” sites were historically lying their arses off to the American public. They were and are what I term the American Media Maggots, for obvious reasons.

Fake rape stories on any number of occasions, AMM? Cars that tip over, AMM? Dan Rather lying about George Bush? Hundreds of false discrimination stories? Rick Jones? Sharmeka Moffitt? Reza Aslan? Tahera Ahmad? Anti-gay tip receipt? Duke University? Michael Nifong? Oberlin KKK hoax? Tawana Brawley? Grand Valley State University black chick? Rolling Stone magazine? Joseph Baken? CAIR’s staged videos? CNN interviewing their own cameraman, claiming it was an anti-Trump protester on Don Lemon? “Trumpers violent” when it was in fact Leftists who burned, hit, stabbed, cut, destroyed property around the US? HRC having a “98% chance of winning”?

Buzzfeed? CNN?

The “Fourth Estate” exists only as, now, a PR firm for Leftists and Demorats. We’re on to you. You are in fact naked.

How shallow be thy memory, American Media Maggots. Where an anti-conservative meme exists, you jump on it and provide vast amounts of time, headline space and copy inches. Because you have an anti-conservative theme to catch.

More importantly, just who fact checks the “fact checkers”? Were you, my dear readers, cognizant that the staff of Snopes.com is comprised primarily of Leftists? Would you even remotely be shocked? What about Facebook?

Facebook routinely buried conservative news and topics from trending on the site and artificially made liberal topics part of the national discussion, former Facebook employees admitted last May. TheDC previously reported that the former Facebook trending news team was filled by liberals. It has since automated the Trending Topics section of its page.

Jolls makes an admirable statement:

“What we want is skepticism, not cynicism,” she said. “Cynicism is when you don’t believe anything. Skepticism is when you have discernment, judgment you can rely on.”

In a vacuum, the quote is sensible. In reality, I go back to my Josef Stalin quote.

Just who determines what is what?

In Fornicalia, come on.

I think you know that answer.

I say: go ahead. Prove to me you’re not insane.

By what standards?

Ultimately: who creates and holds those standards?

Fornicalia is as impartial as a Chinese judge at the Beijing Olympics.

More evidence: Michael Brown beat the Ferguson police officer?

Ferguson MO Riots CartoonA source inside the department, reported, by Fox News, believes so:

Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown, says source

by Hollie McKay

Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department’s top brass told FoxNews.com.

“The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.”

According to the well-placed source, Wilson was coming off another case in the neighborhood on Aug. 9 when he ordered Michael Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road because they were obstructing traffic. However, the confrontation quickly escalated into physical violence, the source said.

“They ignored him and the officer started to get out of the car to tell them to move,” the source said. “They shoved him right back in, that’s when Michael Brown leans in and starts beating Officer Wilson in the head and the face.”

The source claims that there is “solid proof” that there was a struggle between Brown and Wilson for the policeman’s firearm, resulting in the gun going off – although it still remains unclear at this stage who pulled the trigger. Brown started to walk away according to the account, prompting Wilson to draw his gun and order him to freeze. Brown, the source said, raised his hands in the air, and turned around saying, “What, you’re going to shoot me?”

At that point, the source told FoxNews.com, the 6-foot-4, 292-pound Brown charged Wilson, prompting the officer to fire at least six shots at him, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown’s skull, according to an independent autopsy conducted at the request of Brown’s family.

Some statistics:

  • In 2012, there was some 12 million arrests in the United States;
  • 34,000 arrests per day, average;
  • In 99.9% of those cases, the suspect was not killed by the police;
  • 400 fatal police shootings are reported in this country per year;

But here is the statistical kicker:

  • 91% of black homicide victims are killed by other blacks;

And, of course, all of the facts are not yet in yet; despite this, the American Media Maggots and the Race Pimps have already convicted Officer Wilson and are calling for his hanging.

Finally:

I have to hand it to Ferguson PD — they have missed cues and screwed the pooch whenever possible in terms of managing the media and managing the situation.  Theirs was a primer on what not to do in terms of handling a critical incident of a sensitive nature.  This should certainly be a teachable moment for that department, and I can only hope they have learned what it means to be tarred and feathered in the media — and how to avoid that in the future.

Per the media, Ferguson is now an “atrocity.”

Outrage In Missouri Town After Police Shooting Of 18-Yr-Old ManOnce again, the American Media Maggots sitting in Leftist judgment of an incident prior to the facts coming in.

Time.com now says that the Ferguson shooting was an “atrocity.”

Atrocity: noun. 1. an extremely wicked or cruel act, typically involving physical violence or injury, as in “war atrocities.”

The Coming Race War Won’t Be About Race

by Kareen Abdul-Jabbar

Ferguson is not just about systemic racism — it’s about class warfare, and how America’s poor are held back.

Will the recent rioting in Ferguson, Missouri, be a tipping point in the struggle against racial injustice, or will it be a minor footnote in some future grad student’s thesis on Civil Unrest in the Early Twenty-First Century?

A brief insertion here.  My wife happens to have a home in Ghetto Central, in a large city in Fornicalia.  She has had it for many years and could not move.  I am the only Caucasoid in the area for quite some distance, because I love her and married her.  The people here come and go.  Most if not all of the homes here are rentals.  I know that because when one family or concentration of people leaves, the FOR RENT sign goes up.

The people who come in have cars, motorcycles, cell phones, audio equipment, boats, trailers, pets, and few jobs apparently.  I see some of the women leaving on a daily basis, but few if any of the men.  The thin dude in the hoodie four doors down slings dope.  Why is the area considered poor?  Because both the city and the county say it is, and the nation says it is.

This is an area to be avoided.  Cars scream past on the street and you don’t want to be here on either New Year’s or the 4th of July when the gunfire doesn’t stop for hours like downtown Beirut and the dogs cower under the bed and howl.  The nights are mixed with distant gunfire, the sound of cop helos flying overhead and sirens exhibiting the Doppler Effect.

Jabbar continues with his article:

And, unless we want the Ferguson atrocity to also be swallowed and become nothing more than an intestinal irritant to history, we have to address the situation not just as another act of systemic racism, but as what else it is: class warfare.

Yes, says Jabbar, Ferguson is an atrocity, right up there with war.

For Leftists who swear they abhor labels, thanks for the label, sir.

A lot of black cops work for me and have worked for me and with me.  So do a bunch of Vietnamese cops, Japanese cops, Mexican cops and most recently, Laotian cops.  I have a dude whose last name I can barely pronounce.  I call him “Dr O” and he digs it.

But if so terribly oppressed and tread-upon, just how is it that the black cops who work for me have succeeded because — after all — I have the ability to utilize the Progressive Discipline toolkit when their behavior needs modification?  If “their” performance — like anyone else on the department — is inferior, I have the ability to instigate various forms of investigations ranging from friendly reminders right up to termination.

That said, I see the actual display of “poverty” every day: on duty at work, from my department’s vehicles and in its jails — and off duty at home in my wife’s neighborhood.  I don’t just write cavalierly about it, I experience it every damned day I work.  I live in it.

So for all of you people who write about poverty from a nice and comfortable distance, and have no idea what it really entails in America, how it actually exists, and what those occupants in “poor” neighborhoods really do or don’t do, what they have and don’t have, how they work or don’t work — why don’t you just take a nice, big steaming cup of Shut The Fuck Up.

Innocent until proven guilty? No; trial by media

The CNN video above, damning the Ferguson officer.

From GatewayPundit.com:

DEATH WISH? Media Draws Map to Home of Ferguson Police Officer Who Shot Mike Brown

Posted by Jim Hoft on Saturday, August 16, 2014, 4:38 PM

CNN broadcast a report Friday that showed the house, including the street number, of the Ferguson police officer who police say shot Mike Brown. The officer has been in hiding due to death threats since the shooting last Saturday. His name, Darren Wilson, was just released Friday morning.

Another news outlet apologized for broadcasting video of Wilson’s home while others have virtually drawn a map to Wilson’s house for those bent on vengeance.

Yahoo News named the community Wilson where Wilson resides and published a photograph of the officer.

The UK Daily Mail also named the community, posted photos of the officer and gave a description of the house.

USA Today also named the community and reported a local police presence.

The Washington Post named the street where Wilson lives.

In the video report, CNN reporter Ed Lavandera is seen walking in the street where Wilson lives. The CNN video shows a wide view of Wilson’s house and then pans around the street to show its relative position in the neighborhood. While Lavandera does not name the street, he gives its approximate location.

Every news report says neighbors told them Wilson has not been home for several days.

Why would the media do this?

Easy: ratings.  And the prospect of even greater potential ratings.

“If it bleeds, it leads.”

Further, “if we can help it to bleed, we can help it to lead.”

Easy ratings, more advertising, more viewers, readers and revenue.  In one word: CASH.

One simple reason I have labeled our Fourth Estate the AMM, or American Media Maggots.

Because AMM are inherent Leftists (but will publicly eschew this common fact), they believe American Leftism is good, authority is bad, and that racists lie behind every door, woodpile and police department.  All blacks are victims, as are all minorities — but even that old saw is becoming a statistical falsehood as so-called “minorities” are soon to outnumber Caucasoids — who will soon themselves become a statistical minority.  What then?

The hope of the AMM is to render some kind of “reckoning” upon the police officer and bring about a vicarious “revenge” upon him from which the AMM can quickly and easily deny involvement.

“Innocent until proven guilty”?  Not if you are a law enforcement officer in a similar instance where — may I remind everyone — the facts are not yet all in, no matter what anyone may say.

As far as the American Media Maggots are concerned, and much of the global media in general, this officer is guilty.  They plan to assist in pushing him that direction via any means necessary.  Along the way, if that officer is somehow served a helping of “social justice” himself, no matter who it harms, then those are the breaks.

Locals are saying the officer simply drew his firearm and shot a young and innocent black man in the street, who was holding his arms up in abject surrender.

However, comparing the store robbery video to the clothing of Michael Brown would clearly indicate the robbery suspect and the person shot by Ferguson PD are one and the same.

Other information, little reported, also indicates the officer was fighting Michael Brown, as Brown tried to disarm the officer — and the fight moved at one point into the police vehicle itself.

As as officer myself, I can tell you one thing: anyone who attempts to disarm me by placing hands upon my firearm will be dealt with in the most grave fashion I can muster.  If I have to shoot them in the head or crash a concrete block onto their throat, as far as I am concerned — if you try to disarm me — the gloves are totally off.  There are no rules and it’s a fight for my life.  I don’t care who you are or the color of your skin or your age.  If I perceive you have the present capability and the intent to disarm me, things will not go well for you.  I will do my level best to ensure that.

In the meantime, according to the American Media Maggots: guilty as charged.  Only street justice required.

That officer, no matter the verdict or the facts, will never be able to live in his house or the city of Ferguson again.  Courtesy of the AMM.
