Cases in point. Olbermann objecting to Comey’s firing. I ask: what does an ahistorical German know about the Constitution or Bill of Rights anyway? Particularly in light of the NRA video below.
This is also Keith Olbermann.
My, how your mother must have frequently washed your mouth out with soap.
Then there is this from Olbermann’s “The Resistance” series. As in: “The NRA should be branded a terrorist organization.”
You know. For supporting the Bill of Rights. That terrible document.
Olbermann also said it was “time to end the lies about the Second Amendment” and “time to end refusing to call mass murderers who do not have obvious political motives ‘terrorists.’ ”
Uh, wait. Maybe one should at least give a passing glance to the foundational and historical definition of the word “terror” or “terrorist.”
The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
Proving that Olbermann is clearly an ignoramus who has no concept of definitions or, dare I say, the meaning of words themselves. He bends them and breaks them into ways they were never meant. For. Political. Purposes.
Who is the real terrorist here, Keith Olbermann, mein Teutonic Fuhrer? You aim your intimidation towards the civilian population for political purposes. Hello? Bueller?
Olbermann was removed, if you recall, from MSNBC in 2011 for, shall we say, a lack of performance. He was replaced by Lawrence O’Donnell, an avowed Socialist. Olbermann was, ahem, polemic to say the least, but still somehow envisioned himself in the mainstream of thought — which he was, but only for the Elitist Left who elbow-rub in various parvenu and jejune DC soirees.
According, therefore, to Herr Olbermann, His Teutonic Self and Leftists, these things are fundamentally true.
Anything conservative is evil;
Anything or anyone advocating conservatism is evil;
Supporting the US Constitution is evil;
Supporting the Bill of Rights is evil;
Supporting the First Amendment is evil;
Supporting the Second Amendment is evil.
You see? Rampant and unmitigated evil which must be immediately shut down.
Big cases, retirement rumors as Supreme Court nears finish
by Mark Sherman
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court enters its final week of work before a long summer hiatus with action expected on the Trump administration’s travel ban and a decision due in a separation of church and state case that arises from a Missouri church playground.
The biggest news of all, though, would be if Justice Anthony Kennedy were to use the court’s last public session on Monday to announce his retirement.
I received information in January of this year that another opening was coming for 2017 following Antonin Scalia’s passing, which was filled by Neil Gorsuch. Imagine that. Turns out I’m likely correct.
Statistically speaking, let’s remember that two justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Anthony Kennedy, are in their 80s, and Justice Stephen Breyer is 78. I call that a clue.
Overall, Demorats have taken a few blows recently. They are in a significant kerfuffle. You know: disarray. Confusion. Even insanity as, reading the news, you see they are doubling down on what hasn’t worked. They are leaning into the punches. Yay team.
Even the New York Times, the old Gray Lady herself, bleeding readers and hemorrhaging advertisers, admits The Donald is winning. As “bad” as he is, Hillary Clinton was obviously worse and continues to be so. Her saliva still breaches Demorat decks and hulls not unlike that of the Alien creature.
Demorats are 0 for 4 in recent special elections yet, listening to them and to their paid cheering section, the American Media Maggots, they had it all in the bag because these elections were going to be a “referendum against Trump.” $23 million dollars was spent on the Jon Ossoff election in Georgia, the most expensive House race in history. George Soros money. Leftist money. Celebrity Leftist money. Cash from everywhere except the contested district. Despite all that, Republican Karen Handel handed Ossoff his own head.
Speaking of AMM cheerleaders for Leftists, Newt Gingrich suggests:
Newt Gingrich speaks the truth: “We need to give up the term news media — call them ‘propaganda media’ and strip them of their credibility!” pic.twitter.com/zuce7dVTCL
Shockingly, the NY Times in a brief clear-headed manner writes under Maureen Dowd:
Democrats cling to an idyllic version of a new progressive America where everyone tools around in electric cars, serenely uses gender-neutral bathrooms and happily searches the web for the best Obamacare options. In the Democrats’ vision, people are doing great and getting along.
The Demorats are still following Hillary Clinton’s “it’s my turn, dammit, because I’ve paid the dirty political price to get here no matter my song, no matter my content.” Demorats hate that they still have to represent the little people, the proles, the serfs, the groundlings, the rabble, the unilluminated and unwashed in the inconsequential flyover states. They hate that they still have to represent a few Caucasoids. They hate that they still have to realize there is actually a pitiful smattering of life outside the DC Beltway or New York or Los Angeles or Chicago or San Francisco. They hate that they can’t attend even more cocktail parties in DC or tool around in larger limousines or spend with no limitations whatsoever. They hate that they may appear to be a bit responsible for their decisions though, thankfully, they haven’t fully gotten there yet.
In the meantime they have Russia and they have identify politics and they have Russia and they have race and they have Russia and they have gender and they have Russia and they control all the -ists extant.
What, truly, are the Demorats? They are the Party of No.
A few final points.
1. The Demorats made a rather stupid mistake by insisting the Republicans push they so-called nuclear option on SCOTUS nominees, thinking they would do no such thing. 51 is now the magic number. Button pushed.
2. With Neil Gorsuch on the SCOTUS bench, the Supreme Court is mostly back to where it was when Scalia was alive; that is to say, with Kennedy being a bit of a major pendulum.
3. If a second opening occurs — and it will — resulting in President Trump’s installation of a true applier of law instead of a shill for Leftists, momentum will move to the right in terms of decisions.
4. Notice a trend? I do. It’s only 2017. What do you think the possibilities are that, between now and, say, 2019 or 2020 another Supreme Court justice retires? I’d wager the likelihood is rather high.
5. If Trump acquires a third nomination and keeps the Senate, the Supreme Court will be more conservative for at least another generation. Case closed.
A driver who attacked a Florida sheriff’s deputy Monday morning was shot and killed by a bystander who warned him to stop beating the officer, according to a report.
The incident began at around 9:30 a.m. when the Lee County deputy tried to make a traffic stop on Interstate 75 in Estero. Instead of complying, witnesses said the driver took off, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
The deputy chased the suspect onto an exit ramp, where a witness said the suspect got out of his car and assaulted his pursuer.
Shanta Holditch told WZVN that the suspect pulled the deputy out of his car and “just kept beating him and beating him … throwing him to the ground and punching him in all different directions.” At that point, WINK reported, another driver got out of his car and ran to the scene. He told the suspect that he’d shoot him if he didn’t stop beating the deputy. “[He] refused to get off the officer and the officer kept yelling, ‘shoot him, shoot him, shoot him,’ Holditch said.
When the suspect didn’t stop his attack, the third man shot him three times. The deputy was not hit. The suspect later died.
Money saved. Plus: that citizen deserves a medal, time and private instruction at the Lee County Sheriff’s Department range and 1,000 free rounds of his choosing.
Some of El Chapo’s terrible handiwork in Mexico. F&F firearms were used to kill El Chapo’s enemies and innocents alike.
And not just “any” firearm; oh no.
You remember Holder’s “Fast & Furious” debacle, right? The one where US Attorney General Eric Holder’s BATFE thought it would be a splendid idea to allow weapons to cross into Mexico under its “supervision” as Operation Gunrunner, then later as Operation Fast and Furious. More than 2,000 guns were sold to suspected criminals thought to be linked to the Sinaloa drug cartel and other Mexican criminal organizations in the two years of the operation under the Obama presidency. Shock of shocks, there were criminals involved. So in essence the BATFE knowingly allowed US weapons to be “walked” into Mexico. BATFE agents lost track of 1,400 of the 2,000 guns sold.
On Dec. 14, 2010, US Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed during a gunfight. It was discovered that weapons in the shootout stemmed from the Fast and Furious operation. A BATFE scheme, therefore, was directly responsible for the death of an American law enforcement officer.
Let us also not forget that documents about F&F were handed over to Representative Darrell Issa’s House Oversight Committee in November of 2014 (four years after the murder of Agent Terry) only after the White House tried to use executive privilege in an attempt to halt emails related to the case, and contempt of Congress charges against Attorney General Eric Holder in 2012, On June 28th of 2012, AG Holder was in fact held in contempt of Congress — the first time ever for a US presidential cabinet member.
Here’s something else people conveniently forget: Emails released to Judicial Watch, a group that filed suit to obtain legal documents from the Justice Department, showed Holder’s direct involvement with officials throughout the Justice Department and the ATF in how to handle congressional inquiries and ways to format talking points about Fast and Furious.
‘Fast & Furious’ rifle capable of taking down helicopter found in ‘El Chapo’ cache
by William La Jeunesse
A.50-caliber rifle found at Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s hideout in Mexico was funneled through the gun-smuggling investigation known as Fast and Furious, sources confirmed Tuesday to Fox News.
When agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives checked serial numbers of the eight weapons found in his possession, they found one of the two .50-caliber weapons traced back to the ATF program, sources said.
You cannot convince me that Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast & Furious weren’t crafted by the Obama administration as an excuse to enact more gun control regulations across the board. CBS had the records to indicate so.
The NRA’s Wayne LaPierre nailed the issue when he said:
We wouldn’t know about this at all if [Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry] had not been killed and some of the good, honest, decent federal agents down the line had enough of the stench coming out of Washington and started to use the Whistleblower Act to go public and call the Justice Department out on this whole rotten, stinking scheme.
It’s clear the Obama administration and Eric Holder had their anti-gun agendas and did their best to stomp the whistleblowers and stifle the investigation.
Otherwise thousands of guns would still be going over the border into the Mexican drug cartels and the President and the Attorney General and the Secretary of State would all be running around going, ’90 percent of the guns come from America’ in an attempt to seek political advantage and in an attempt to enact more gun control laws on honest American citizens and use this whole issue politically against the Second Amendment of the United States.
Precisely sir. One of the major reasons I decided to join the NRA recently. I am tired of Demorats and Leftists trampling on America’s foundational documents.
Good to know the fuckups of Obama and Holder are still the gifts that keep on giving. How many people did that rifle take out at over 1,000 yards?
In Response to Massive Influx of Refugees, Europeans Seek More Guns
by Warren Mass
As The New American has reported in multiple articles, European nations are frantically trying to accommodate the thousands of immigrants fleeing to Europe from the ongoing civil war in Syria. This massive influx, which has been described as an “invasion,” has prompted many Europeans to arm themselves, fearful that the migrants will cause a rise in violent crime, according to a report published by WorldNetDaily (WND) on October 26.
However, notes the report, citing Czech and Austrian sources, obtaining a firearm in Europe can be difficult to nearly impossible, depending on gun laws in each individual country. A Czech television reporter spoke mostly about the situation in neighboring Austria, which is in the main path of migrants traveling from Greece to their most popular destination — Germany.
I’m sorry, but I have to readily admit that my first thought was: oh boo-hoo. Europeans are rethinking gun control? A tad late perhaps?
“I’m disarmed. How do I keep me and my family safe, considering my ______ government appears to be disinterested in defending me from the invading Muslim hordes?”
And yes, they are invading Muslim hordes. They’re certainly not Buddhist hordes. You’re stewing, Europe, in the Leftist mess you created. You can’t get guns now that you actually need them to defend your families?
Live with it.
The Czech reporter stated that long guns such as shotguns and rifles have been selling out in Austria, and those who haven’t already purchased one may not have an opportunity to obtain one for some time. “If anyone wants to buy a long gun in Austria right now, too bad for them,” noted the Czech newscaster. “All of them are currently sold out.”
Great idea! Let’s make criminals out of citizens and leave the real criminals themselves entirely unaffected — by letting them out of jails and prisons, minimizing property crimes (by increasing the value of a stolen item before the crime constitutes a felony) and sending drug users and dealers to rehab instead of putting them in jail. AB 109, “realignment,” is already working like a charm (not), as is Proposition 47. Meaning: the criminals are doing very well in Fornicalia, and property crimes are likewise blossoming. Heroin users aren’t stupid, after all, just drugged. They know they can steal more items before they’re charged with a felony and actually have to enter the system.
(As an aside: the effect of AB109? In Los Angeles, because of the court and jail conditions associated with overcrowding, AB 109 inmates were serving anywhere from 20 percent of their sentence — after half-time was deducted. For the most serious and repeat offenders the percentage of time served peaked at around 40 percent of a sentence for the most serious offenses.The results of both AB 109 and Prop 47?The outcome “is criminals serving very short sentences and threatening public safety.”)
I just returned from a gun rights meeting in Belgium, and I can attest that all over Europe people now want the means to defend themselves. Self-defense is no longer a dirty word. In countries like Austria, where it is still legal to own a firearm, gun sales are at record levels. I can tell you first-hand that people in Europe now wish they had a Second Amendment.
Yes, let’s repeat that last sentence for the brain-addled and ill-educated Leftists amongst us here (I know you’re there, I get your comments and emails):
“I can tell you first-hand that people in Europe now wish they had a Second Amendment.”
Socialists and Euro-Cheesers wishing for their own Second Amendment?
Even more astonishing:
Going back to the fears generated among Europeans by the large numbers of refugees from the Middle East, it appears that such fears are well grounded. The U.K.’s Daily Mail reported last May: “Islamic State terrorists who are hell-bent on committing atrocities in Britain are being smuggled into Europe by posing as refugees trying to cross the Mediterranean.”
Those “fears are well grounded.” Muslim terrorists posing as “refugees.” Oh no! Muslims wouldn’t stoop to something as bad as that, would they? Could they?
Listen up, American Leftists:
The Daily Mail cited as its source a Libyan security advisor, Abdul Basit Haroun, who used to live in Britain. Haroun said during a BBC Radio 5 Live Investigates program:
[Terrorists] use the boats for their people who they want to send to Europe as the European police don’t know who is from IS and who is a normal refugee. The boat owners have a list of who to take but some people come suddenly and they’re told, “Take them with you.”…
They are for IS — 100 per cent.
Which is why I say again and continue to say: keep Syrian and all other Muslim “refugees” out of the United States of America. ISIS has already infiltrated via our southern border. There are ISIS elements present in the US. My federal LE sources tell me so.
I say: let Europe, who so eschewed firearms and pointed their fingers at US “gun nuts,” stew in the juices of their own making and lack of foresight.
