Just as I said: it’s not the Russians

I speak to certain people now and then, and certain people have told me that the Russians — as Hillary Clinton accuses Donald Trump — are not behind the Wikileaks email releases from John Podesta.

As I wrote here and also here, about Hillary outing the NSA and threatening GAMMA national security classifications.

This past week another individual with whom I spoke and who has “contacts” as well, indicated he was told the NSA was responsible, due to HRC’s careless mishandling of the most sensitive intelligence possible — of that GAMMA nature — which, in turn, was responsible for the loss of life.

Steve Pieczenik (who has a doctorate from MIT in international relations, is a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under Dr Henry Kissinger, Cyrus Vance and James Baker, and whom I featured in the previous post) likewise indicates the Russians were not responsible for the Wikileaks emails.

In addition, Paul Watson writes:

CONFIRMED: US INTEL OPERATIVES LEAKED CLINTON CAMPAIGN EMAILS, NOT RUSSIA

Insiders attempting to save America from Hillary presidency

It’s now clear from numerous sources that the Podesta hack, which led to Wikileaks releasing tens of thousands of Clinton campaign emails, as well as other hacks targeting the Democratic Party, were the work of U.S. intelligence operatives attempting to save America from a Clinton presidency.

The Clinton campaign has repeatedly insinuated that Russian agents were responsible for the release of the emails, but the reality is far different.

The hackers were concerned individuals who were alarmed at Hillary Clinton’s rampant corruption and mishandling of classified material as far back as 2009, when officials with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) became aware of violations of record keeping procedures at the Department of State under Secretary Clinton.

This is backed up by former British ambassador Craig Murray, who was told by security insiders that the email leak “comes from within official circles in Washington DC.”

This is most telling:

“Hillary has a problem with NSA because she compromised Gamma material,” (NSA whistleblower William) Binney said. “That is the most sensitive material at NSA.”

A phrase comes to mind now; something about “reaping” and “sowing.”

Who hacked DNC/Podesta emails and why? Was it really the Russians?

Please listen to this video from Andrew Napolitano.

From ZeroHedge.com:

NSA Whistleblower: Not So Fast On Claims Russia Behind Hillary Clinton Email Hack

The mainstream media alleges that Russia was behind the hack of Hillary Clinton’s emails.

The media is parading out the usual suspects alleged experts to back up this claim.

Washington’s Blog asked the highest-level NSA whistleblower in history, William Binney – the NSA executive who created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information, who served as the senior technical director within the agency, who managed six thousand NSA employees, the 36-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a “legend” within the agency and the NSA’s best-ever analyst and code-breaker, who mapped out the Soviet command-and-control structure before anyone else knew how, and so predicted Soviet invasions before they happened (“in the 1970s, he decrypted the Soviet Union’s command system, which provided the US and its allies with real-time surveillance of all Soviet troop movements and Russian atomic weapons”) – what he thinks of such claims:

Edward Snowden says the NSA could easily determine who hacked Hillary Clinton’s emails.

But mainstream media say it couldn’t:   http://www.businessinsider.com/dnc-hack-russian-government-2016-7

The mainstream media is also trumpeting the meme that Russia was behind the hack, because it wants to help Trump get elected. In other words, the media is trying to deflect how damaging the email leaks are to Clinton’s character by trying to somehow associate Trump with Putin.

See e.g. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/26/us/politics/kremlin-donald-trump-vladimir-putin.html

Who’s right?

The Demorat dog whistle about Russia hacking the DNC and John Podesta is just that.

Binney responded:

Snowden is right and the MSM is clueless. Here’s what I said to Ray McGovern and VIPS with a little humor at the end. [McGovern is a 27-year CIA veteran, who chaired National Intelligence Estimates and personally delivered intelligence briefings to Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, their Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other senior government officials. McGovern is co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (“VIPS” for short).]

Ray, I am suspicious that they may have looked for known hacking code (used by Russians). And, I’m sure they were one probably of many to hack her stuff. But, does that mean that they checked to see if others also hacked in?

Further, do they have evidence that the Russians downloaded and later forwarded those emails to wikileaks? Seems to me that they need to answer those questions to be sure that their assertion is correct. Otherwise, HRC and her political activities are and I am sure have been prime targets for the Russians (as well as many others) but without intent of course.

I would add that we proposed to do a program that would monitor all activity on the world-wide NSA network back in 1991/92. We called it “Wellgrounded.” NSA did not want anyone (especially congress) to know what was going on inside NSA and therefore rejected that proposal. I have not read what Ed has said, but, I do know that every line of code that goes across the network is logged in the network log. This is where a little software could scan, analyze and find the intruders initially and then compile all the code sent by them to determine the type of attack. This is what we wanted to do back in 1991/92.

The newest allegation tying the Clinton email hack to Russia seems to be all innuendo.

Please read the rest of the article.

You have to ask yourself: cui bono? Why would Russia not want Hillary Clinton in the White House? She would continue the overall leadership begun by Barack Hussein Obama — which is to say, little. Obama’s tactic is to “lead from behind” (a ludicrous oxymoron by itself) and, with that, Russia under the guidance of Putin realizes that Obama and, by extension, Clinton have been amenable to “working” with Russia and the so-called “reset.”

Let’s not forget it was Barack Hussein Obama who, sotto voce, told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in 2012 that “after my election I’ll have more flexibility.”

Ask yourself: would Putin truly want a loose cannon like Donald Trump in the White House? This is how Reagan was characterized in 1979 and 1980 by Carter and his campaign — a “loose cannon” with his crazy, palsied finger on the nuke pile.

When you have the government hacking itself in order to keep national security, you have in many ways lost that government. An internal hack because you don’t trust a presidential candidate not to keep your secrets or kill your people?

Ladies and gentlemen, we are losing America and watching it devolve before our very eyes. It is astounding and sad, simultaneously.

Who hacked the DNC and the emails?

Ask again: cui bono?

Back to the Cold War with Russia?

Both Russia and China are ensuring that they poke their collective fingers into the eyes of the United States, under the “leadership” of Barack Hussein Obama.

They do this, like bullies, because they know they can.  They can.

The Russian Sukhoi Su-24 is, truly, not a very good aircraft. It was nothing more than an abject attempt to duplicate the US F-111 with variable geometry wings.  In other words, it is a poor copy that Russia had to make do with for years.  Russia has copied American aircraft for decades, starting with their knockoff of our B-29 and extending to the Buran, their failed copy of our space shuttle.

In a span of two days last week, Russian aircraft, both fixed wing and rotor, buzzed the USS Donald Cook (DDG 75), an Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer built in 1996, 505 feet long and weighing 8,900 tons.

The Cook was taking part in exercises with a Polish helicopter in Baltic Sea international waters, some 70 miles from Kaliningrad.  See the map.

USS Donald Cook buzzed again by Russian jets in Baltic

Last Updated Apr 13, 2016 2:55 PM EDT

Yet again Russian jets made provocatively close passes to an American warship, as tensions continue between Moscow and Washington over the conflicts in Ukraine and Syria.

A senior defense official told CBS News that two recent incidents were “more aggressive than anything we’ve seen in some time.”

As documented here.  Over two days the USS Donald Cole was buzzed over 30 times.

Navy veterans and pilots agree that the “flybys” are in clear violation of a 1972 international agreement signed by Russia which delineates that aircraft can come no closer than 1,500 feet laterally and lower than a 1,000 foot altitude.

MORE RECENTLY:

On the heels of these flybys was the interception and rollover by a SU-27 of a US KC-`135 reconnaissance four-engined aircraft.

From the FreeBeacon.com:

Russian Jet Threatened U.S. Recon Aircraft

Barrel rolls over plane in latest Baltic Sea provocation

by Bill Gertz

A Russian fighter jet flew dangerously close to a U.S. RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft on Thursday in the latest military provocation by Moscow over the Baltic Sea, the U.S. European Command said Saturday.

“On April 14, a U.S. Air Force RC-135 aircraft flying a routine route in international airspace over the Baltic Sea was intercepted by a Russian Su-27 in an unsafe and unprofessional manner,” said Navy Capt. Danny Hernandez.

“This intercept comes shortly after the unsafe Russian encounters with USS Donald Cook,” he added. “There have been repeated incidents over the last year where Russian military aircraft have come close enough to other air and sea traffic to raise serious safety concerns, and we are very concerned with any such behavior.”

Hernandez said the U.S. aircraft, a militarized Boeing 707 jet, was operating in international airspace “and at no time crossed into Russian territory.”

This is a clear signal by Russia to Barack Hussein Obama and the rest of the planet.

That message is: “The US won’t defend itself.  It lacks the will and the courage.  So what makes you think they’ll defend you, the Baltic States?”

Truly, an excellent question.

Is Barack Hussein Obama strong, or is he weak?

In the eyes of bullies, he is astoundingly weak.  They like that.

If you remember, Syria is where Mr Obama drew his proverbial red line, and then it was crossed.  Obama did nothing.

“I use the term stunned because I was stunned by that.  It reversed a very complete and comprehensive decision that had just been made a few hours prior to that.  The president made the final decision and a few hours later we’re reversing it, we’re pulling it down.  It was all over the world.

And our allies would ask me, ‘how can we have confidence in whatever else he says?’ “
— Chuck Hagel, Secretary of Defense, 2013 to 2015

“And so the man who presented himself as a man of peace, has actually presided over much more violence in the Muslim world than happened under his predecessor.”
— Nialil Ferguson, Professor of History, Harvard University

Meaning?  Barack Hussein Obama, “winner of the Nobel Peace Prize — itself awarded to a man for no accomplishments whatsoever solely due to his melanin count by a council of Guilty Overeducated White People (GOWPs) — is responsible for more death and carnage in the Muslim world due to his arrogance, his haughtiness, his wrong-headedness, his shockingly profound inability to understand the mind of anyone other than himself,

So.  Russia builds brand new bases across the Arctic.  And China builds islands and increases its sea and land forces, the US under Obama’s direction is considering cutting an Alaskan paratrooper brigade by 71%.

All this is clearly documented in Fox’s Bret Baier’s special program “Rising Threats, Shrinking Military.”

Niall Ferguson best summarizes:

“The lesson is that, it’s what a great power withdraws, the conflict is most likely to escalate.  That’s exactly what’s happened.  And the result is a sobering one.”

Thank you ever so kindly, Mr Barack Hussein Obama.

And now you know, ladies and gentlemen another why I have never, on this blog, placed the two words “President” and “Obama” together.

It would be an obscenity.

Lastly, think about these quotes from two individuals who served under Obama:

“We’re going to see ourselves potentially in a war that is far greater than what we have experienced in the Middle East given everything that the president of the United States has been told about the complexity and the danger that exists in the world today.  Stop the bleeding that you are causing to our armed forces.”
— retired Lt. General Mike Flynn

“If the United States doesn’t provide that leadership, nobody else will.  Nobody else will.”
— former SecDef under Obama, Leon Pannetta

America is caught “flat-footed”

Putin And His AxeThat’s how any number of news organizations are quantifying the actions by Russia in Syria today.

And this is how respected Obama is by the Russians: the US received an entire one-hour warning by a Russian general who appeared out of thin air at our Baghdad embassy, stating that the strikes would be occurring, and decreed by demarche that we must pull our own troops and aircraft out of Syria.  Translation: we are Russia and we will do what we wish when we wish, and you stay the hell out of the way.

This is a stuttering clusterfuck of a moment for Mr Barack Hussein Obama who, just two days ago, shook hands with Vladimir Putin, convinced that he had saved the world and put America in her place once again.  Which he has.  The part about putting America “in her place.”

John Kerry spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in the Security Council of the UN a short time ago (today is Wednesday), and it is abundantly clear that Kerry is over his own personal head as well, since I noted that when initially speaking in the conference regarding “deconfliction,” Mr Kerry’s voice broke twice.

“I am confident Assad’s days are numbered,” Mr Obama said, if you recall.

And yet they are not.  Putin supports Assad and has, now, a rather clear and situational presence in Syria as their planes flew from local bases.  I found that information on the internet just now.  I cannot possibly imagine Obama didn’t know that and hadn’t made any plans or began contacting Russian sources.  Unless he hadn’t or didn’t.  First, you have to care about being a world power.

Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback

Russian Sukhoi SU-34.

Just how, by the way, did those Russian Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback fighter aircraft seem to slip so quietly and rapidly into Syria?  By a little Israeli trick: running them under much larger cargo aircraft in order to take on the radar signature of one large airframe.  Russia already has a naval presence in the port city of Tartus, Syria.

Our feckless occupant of the Spite House, mind you, will somehow attempt to push this off on either poor intelligence or some type of US military mixup.  I submit, this couldn’t be farther from the truth.  I know many military persons and they are good, honest, loyal people who only want to see the United States succeed and keep its position of power and respect in the world.  They also know that Obama is frequently in contravention of US success or supremacy.

The foreign policy of the United States currently involves puppy dogs, unicorns and fairies.  The policy is that there is no policy save that of bowing, appeasement, empty words backed by no actions and “hope.”

And one stuttering, unconfident SofS named John Kerry.

This is what happens when you deal, in ignorance, with despots and Muslims.

“He’s (Putin) bidding for dominance in the Middle East.”  – John Bolton

“Power is passing in the Middle East from America’s weak hands.” – John Bolton.

“Russians knew from the get-go that they weren’t going to be targeting ISIS.” – John Bolton

“He (Putin) sees no American pushback.” – John Bolton

In one day, the world seemingly transitioned from the United States of America to Russia.

Russia has just swindled us in Syria.  For “deconfliction” so that the Russians don’t shoot down our own aircraft.

Because they warned us, after all.

Russia launches airstrikes inside Syria

Russian Jet FighterFox News is indicating that Russia has now launched airstrikes with Russian aircraft inside Syria.

Initial reports also indicate, according to sources, that Russian strikes are aimed where there is evidently no ISIS presence.  At first blush, this seems to indicate that Russia is doing Assad’s job for him, by attacking anti-Assad forces.

UPDATE: Fox indicates Russia is in fact using its aircraft to strike anti-Assad forces in Syria, not ISIS forces.

Further, Russia has demanded that the US leave the Syrian airspace.  So far, it has refused.

Once again, by Obama’s creation of a vacuum in all of the Middle East, the vacuum will be filled and it is becoming blindingly clear that Vladimir Putin is filling that vacuum.

Donald Trump has weighed in, as I watch this play out on Fox, and has asked: is Assad really worse than the rest of the players in Syria, absent ISIS?  He thinks not.  I’m thinking so too.

What is Mr Obama going to do in response?  Because in politics and on the world stage, you respond to words with words, and actions with actions.  With the exception that Mr Obama’s actions — when he has actually acted instead of threatening a “red line,” have solved nothing.  Further, Obama “leads from behind,” a ridiculous stance for a world power in any event.  Leading from behind simply means you are not a world power.

John Kerry is currently at the UN stating that the US is going to continue attempting to “remove” Assad, whatever “remove” means in the world of Obama.  Obama thinks you can “talk” and “negotiate” sense to the Middle East and to Muslims.  You cannot.

Kerry called on all governments to broker, through the UN, a negotiation to remove Assad.  Kerry just legitimized Russia’s presence once again the Middle East and in Syria, as he acknowledges the presence and the “need” for Russia’s actions.

Russia is there to strengthen the Assad regime, I believe.

These are Big Boy moves by Putin, knowing again that Obama is far out of his league in terms of being capable of dealing with these issues.  These are very serious moves and Putin has ratcheted up the tension and the stakes.

Worse yet, the US is saying Russia has a reason to be launching these strikes, to be present in the Middle East.  The US just legitimized this move.

I shake my head.

Putin is larfing his ass off at this point.
